ENJOY THE SUMMER!! You can own this unique, one-of-a-kind electric neighborhood vehicle. Powered by nine, 8-volt deep-cycle batteries, you can cruise at 25-30 mph with a 20-30 mile drive before recharging with a normal 110 volt outlet. Or, you can tow the car to where you want to drive it, and save the batteries. The car is extremely quiet, and is a joy to drive around town in the evening. The car has a very sophisticated charger built in that checks each battery for proper charge, then produces a float charge to keep the batteries in top shape. This car is built from an aftermarket car kit of a '53 MG body mounted on a '70 VW chassis. The car is licensed in the state of Arizona as a '70 VW, and is street legal, with headlights, tail lights, stop lights and turn signals. The wipers need new blades, but actually work also. The top comes off or folds back for the full convertible car feel. Other notes: Reserve has been lowered. Like-new tires are oversized on custom VW mag rims. Batteries were new on 10/03/08 and have had little use. I charge them at least every two weeks and they are in good condition. Car only weighs 1860 lbs. There is another 12 volt battery that runs the lights etc., and will probably need to be replaced.
