1987 Vanagon GL Westfalia Camper The Swiss Army Knife of Vanagons. Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My bussiness has required me to seek a full sized van or vehicle for exspansion. The Westy needs a new owner and is an excellent candidate for restoration as it is all original but for the paint. I am the third owner of this van and have been using it as a daily driver for the last 4 years. Bought it at 105,000 miles and it now has 142,000 miles. It was originally purchased here in Oklahoma City at Cable Volks Wagen. I have the original window sticker it came with and will send with the van when sold. The van runs great and is mechanically sound, in addition it burns no oil. Please look at all the photos closely and request additional ones for specifics if needed. I want to help where I can. Now for the good stuff; What comes with the van. Original Cable VolksWagen window sticker Bentley Manual, ( A must have for any Vanagon owner) Heavy duty floor mats Heavy power cord Water hose Water hose pressure regulator Cargo nets Original magnetic insect screens New set of rear brake shoes New O2 oxygen sensor Extra muffler gaskets Extra fuel injector O-rings Resent Oil change Tires have about 15K on them Swivell seats Dining Table Trailer hitch I had the front brake rotors turned earlier in the year and installed new pads at that time. What it needs; A new windshield. Picked up a rock from an 18 wheeler. SafeLite auto glass has windshields for Vanagons for under $300.00 installed. The A/C needs freon. The O2 light is on in the dash, that's why I have a new O2 sensor but will need the aid of a muffler shop too remove the old one from the catylitic converter. Chances are at that point you'll need to consider replacing the muffler. The body is straight with NO rust and the paint is in very good condition. Somewhere in its life it has been repainted, sorry I dont know the history. Two of the photos show paint starting to lift at the gas cap and radio antena. The potable water pump needs replacing if you intend to use it. I never did. Go Westy and van Cafe have these for about $30.00. Two of the camper hook up covers are missing. You can see them in the photos. Any and all parts or accesseries are availible. If your not familiar with Vanagons you'll be amazed at what you can find for them. I think that"s it.
