Vehicle Detail
This is the one! This is an excellent survivor example of the much coveted Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser. Relisted with much better pictures. There is also a full video of this FJ located here.... http://youtu.be/7M6lQTR6a14 This has always been a Georgia FJ. It is 99% rust free with only a few small bubbles on the lower door corners and just below the ambulance doors on the back. This is an excellent running and driving FJ with some cool stuff that you just don't see often, some of it you never see. The best thing that this one has is a .....complete Vintage Frigiking Air Conditioning unit. It appears to have been dealer installed when the truck was new. The evaporator unit is under the seat, the compressor is there, all hoses, condenser, controls, everything. It doesn't currently work but it surely has to be a very rare item. It has 91K original miles to the best of my knowledge. It has 2F six cylinder engine that purrs like a kitten. 4 spd. transmission and it has a 3rd shifter on the transfer case that allows it to be driven in 2 wheel low, or so it seems. It also has vintage Warn Lock O Matic hubs, which I understand were an early version of automatic locking hubs. This FJ runs good, drives good and could be used as a daily driver or fully restored to make a very unique FJ. As we understand, this FJ has always been a Georgia truck. It has been very well cared for through the years. Here's a breakdown of what I know and see Exterior It has been reapainted, twice, originally it was desert tan, then it was painted Nordic Blue, and now it's painted Sky Blue. I see no signs of accident damage or Bondo. All of the body panels seem original except for the roof, which is from a newer cruiser. It has a homemade looking brush guard, and a hitch plate on the back bumper. All of the lights work, the glass is nice but two of them on the top are plexiglass. The tires have a lot of tread left. I would rate it a strong 8 out of 10 since it is so rust free. Interior Appears to be mostly original. Has diamond plate rubber floor mats. Door panels and dash are nice, the steering wheel and seat belts are nearly mint. All of the controls on the dash work right. It's a very nice and presentable interior. Mechanical Runs and drives great, everything works. Sometimes one of the transfer case lever likes to jump in to reverse. It has an electric cooling fan. The front end is tight, brakes work good. Has a tiny leak on the transfer case and that's all I see wrong with it. I would rate it an 8 out of 10. This is a rare chance to own a classic FJ-40 that is an easy father son resto project or could be put to use immediately as a very unique daily driver. Many of these are beat up, rusted out, or pimped out mud trucks. This one is right in the middle as a survivor. The original owner's manual, original Kotito headlights, original cooling fan, and a bunch of other stuff is included with this listing. I also have a brand new set of Toyota OEM hubcaps. I am offering this FJ at absolutely no reserve. Highest bidder gets it. It's a 10 day auction starting July 11th. Bid to win and if you have any questions, please call me at 941-720-0300, my name is Jason. Happy bidding!
