Vehicle Detail

I'm selling this car for my brother who did a driver restoration on this 1969 Ford Mustang convertible. He was working on this car for about a 1.5 years. Unfortunately he's going through a divorce and has to sell his car. There is a clear title to the car. If you want more information you can call him 774-345-0265, his name is Rob. He's been involved in Mustangs for a long time and you can check out his ebay account(which he cant use at this time because of the pending divorce) XRAYROB. CLEAR TITLE PAINT: This was a Base/Clear coat Candyapple Red paint job. There were some minor chips and scratches(all touched up) the paint looks really nice, and i have some extra for more touch-ups. INTERIOR: New carpet, door panels, dashpad, steering wheel, door sills, armrest, chrome pull handles, blinker arm, window handle knobs, chrome door locking knob w/gromet,sunvisors, and convertible top boot. The seats were recovered about 15 years ago and never used but they ended up with some holes(not bad though) very nice seats otherwise. DRIVELINE: The engine and transmission came out of a 1969 Mustang. The rear end is the original. The previous owner said the driveline was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago but i cant confirm that. The trans shifts nicely and the motor runs good. I put an Electronic ignition in, new balancer, water pump, power steering pump, plugs, wires, hoses, air filter, oil filter, battery, belts, 1974 Carb rebuilt(still runs alittle rich, not bad though), new dual exhaust, and Mach1 chrome exhaust tips. UNDERNEATH: The underneath was restored, por 15, then undercoated. ENGINE BAY: Blasted, primed, and painted satin black, as same as the outerside of the engine bay but then that was undercoated(3m) NEW TOP: This top was handmade and professional installed with the glass back window, again this is not you typical topps you buy from mustang stores that tend to be cheaper, new cables, well liner, and padding. NEW BRAKE LINES, MACH1 GAS CAP, MUSTANG EMBLEMS, ROCKER MOLDING, HOOD PINS, GT STRIPE, BUMPERS, REVERSE LIGHTS, DOOR HANDLES, AND ALOT OF NEW MISC STUFF. VINTAGE: 1969 Mustang disc brake set-up(car didnt have it this was an add-on). Hood Scoop, and used but nice Magnum 500's w/almost new BFGoodrich T/A's. The car was purchase with all the metal work done from a gentleman who did body work in his younger years. The welds and everything looked good but after the car was painted it was noticable that some of the bodylines were off alittle(not bad), but then again alot of these car are, i just want to be honest and no suprises. I tried to re-use as much as i can, use vintage stuff, and new things when needed. I spent alot of money on this car, more than what the reserve is and this is not including my time, i worked on this car for hundreds of hours.
