Fresh up from beautiful, sunny, Cape Coral, Florida; this is one rare bird up for your consideration! White with a white top, chrome wheels, and the Y87 Performance Package (Auburn Limited Slip Rear Differential, 3:42 Gear Ratio, Dual Exhaust, Trans Am Steering Ratio, etc.). Unfortunately however, it needs engine work. It has low oil pressure, and a severe loss of power, I do not know the specific problem, I just want to sell it as-is. It starts, runs and drives, but I had it towed home as soon as I saw the pressure gauge fall to zero. The engine is making a tapping/knocking noise which I am guessing is a stuck bearing, but again I do not know for sure. Please assume the car needs a new engine or serious engine work. Everything is there, and it looks complete and clean in the engine bay. It has an automatic transmission, and the 3.8L V6 Engine (200hp/225tq). EPA gas mileage rating is 17mpg City, 26mpg Highway. According to the Experian AutoCheck Report; this car has never been in an accident, has been in Southwest Florida for the past 9 years, and had never been driven more than 10,000 miles in a year. It was originally sold in rural Illinois, where it was only driven approximately 15k miles total in it’s first 2 years. It then lived in Tennessee where it was only driven approx. 15k total in the next 3 years before going to FL. It has 119,xxx miles on it now. This car would be perfect for trips to the beach, ice cream parlor, cruise nights, etc.! Unfortunately though the engine recently developed a problem that will absolutely need to be fixed before doing so. The paint is in good shape (A couple light marks/scuffs/chips/small scratches etc. and spider webbing/peeling on the back bumper, but overall the car looks incredible). I clay-barred the paint, but it does need a polish/buff/seal/wax to be the best it can be. The interior is extremely clean with no rips or stains. There is a small crack in the top dash vent, and some minor shoe scuffs (I’m finicky), but the interior is overall in good, clean condition. The mechanical condition is otherwise very good as well. All light bulbs, buttons, and functions work properly. The headlights flip up and down quickly, fogs/running/tail lights all work, etc. The trans shifts good through all gears. There are a lot of new parts on it like spark plugs & wires, air filter, 02 sensor, radiator & coolant, brakes, oil and filter. The brakes are strong, they are the exact same as those on the V8-equipped models. It may need new tires or other things soon, but I never had the chance to get it inspected before it developed the engine problem. CD Stereo w/ equalizer sounds good, power convertible top hydraulics work flawlessly, the top is good with no leaks, but the glass window is separating from the lower vinyl, so that specific piece needs to be repaired or replaced. The antenna is stuck in the up position. Alarm, cruise control, power windows, and mirrors all work. Doors, trunk, and hood click shut nicely. Comes with an original owners manual w/ cover, 2 ignition keys, 1 door key, and a remote key fob that needs a battery or possibly replacement. Clean PA title is in hand, and will be sent overnight via certified mail after full payment is received and the sign off is notarized. KBB Retail Value is $6,896. If it were running properly, I would be asking $7,500 considering the condition and rare option combination. This would be a great project, and a real nice collector car with a little TLC- I wish I had the ability to fix it and drive it, and am sure I will regret selling it years from now.
