I bought this car new back in April 2011, it had never been registered or used. I got it from a wholesale dealer that was selling the remainder of his stock. I ordered the weather package (discounted wholesale price of $1,600 shipped.) and I had it installed by a customizing shop about an hour away from my home for $500. So you will never get wet like the rest of the Kandi owners that don't have the top. So we are talking $2,100.00 just for the specialized top alone. The car runs great and we have no problems with it. Batteries will take a full charge and the car will run up to about 35mph. We usually charge the batteries every night for full power in the morning when my girlfriend drives it to work. The tires are pretty much new, and the inside looks new also. Last picture shows it with out the top installed.In my state, I didn't have to pay sales taxes on registration fees, it maybe the same in your state also. and i also know that some states offer a tax reduction for buying this type of car.The car has never been in an accident, and was fully waxed and detailed when we had the top installed about 2 months ago.
