WHAT A HEAD TURNER!!! This car is awesome! It was completely restored in 2006. It has had some Shelby body parts added such as, upper scoops, lower scoops, hood, deck lid, Shelby wheels, and Cougar tail lights. It was the first car painted in a brand new paint booth, so the finish is excellent! Also during the restoration, the entire under carriage was under coated for rust prevention. For safety purposes (and because they look really cool) '69 Mach 1 seats were added due to the high backs. Also in the interior is a very rare original overhead console with map lights The motor and transmission were also both overhauled. The motor is the numbers matching 289 that has been completely rebuilt with a mild performance cam shaft, flat top pistons, nickle plated shorty headers, Edelbrock carb, and Edelbrock intake. . The original 3 speed trans was tossed out to make room for the rebuilt top-loader 4 speed (as used in NASCAR in that era.) The car came originally equipped with factory A/C, but it was since replaced with the new style 134a unit. The a/c still uses factory controls and vents for an original look! The car has had about 5,000 miles put on it since restoration so it is still in immaculate condition! This car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
