Title: clear (California), Registration: valid through 09-08-2012, Mileage: 64,578 (on 06-29-'12), Engine, Radiator, Brakes, Clutch, Suspension, Shocks, Wipers function, are standard and have no particular issues. Wheels: Standard light alloy "soccerball" type, Tires: 165R15 all around with 1/4" thread depth and no "weather-check" on the side-walls.Chassis: steel unit-body construction, no evidence of impacts. Body: Fiberglass, no significant flaws, two spider-web spots which do not show on the images. Floor-plan and rocker panels: whole, no discernible corrosion damage.Glass: no cracks, windshield clear, Lights: Standard (Hella H.L.) plus two 5" units in the grille area, Electrics: Standard [sensors in the seats present but defective which means that the Red Warning Light on the dashboard does not caution: "Fasten Seat Belts"]. Weatherstripping: present and functional, Interior: wholesome, seats in good condition with new inserts, head-liner whole and in place,Carpeting: in good condition, original, Upholstery: in good condition, original. Instruments: standard, all function (night illumination rheostat missing and by-passed). Controls: standard, all function. Radio: Standard SAAB a.m./f.m.. Comments: in the Fall of 2011 the Cylinder Heads were lifted, exhaust valve seats were changed in order to cope with lead-free fuel (professionally done). At that time the following things were done as well.[1] To service [replace] the master cylinders with the drive-train in place is practically impossible. A good-sized access opening was made in the left-hand engine enclosure partition, covered with a steel plate screwed onto the partition from the outside. Changing the master cylinders is still a trick job but possible to do with access provided.[2] Mounted on the lowest front chassis member is a stout, curved, slitted, steel plate to protect the oil-pan of the engine from being impacted by parking barriers and the like (see images). [3] At one time the right-hand door-lock failed and was replaced. Consequently there are two (different) keys for the doors.[4] There was an outside antenna mounted on the left-hand rear fender. Now an inside antenna, mounted on the inside of the front windshield, in front of the rear-view mirror does the job (electrically).[5] There is a "SAAB", locking fuel filler cap.[6] The upper inside zone of the door upholstery has a custom cap, not twisted and warped as is often the case in these cars. Recently the front wheel drive CV joints were inspected. The boots are whole and not torn. The front-wheel bearings were inspected and greased.The Master Cylinders were were found not to be leaking. Weight: 1,900 lb, Distribution: 62%-38%, Length: 160", Width: 59", Height: 47", Coeff. of drag: 0.31. An inspection prior to closing of the sale is recommended. Different [additional] images and eBay monitored question and answers might be a second best approach. There will be no warranty on this car and I will not take it back, it is sold off "where is, as is". Please make sure you have what it takes to make the payment in full, within seven days of the Auction's close. If you are the successful party use a Cashier's check or PayPal. Neither the Registration nor the Car will be made available till I have proof that the funds have been deposited. Removing the car from our premises is the successful party's responsibility and should take place within 30 days of the auction's close. Depending on the physical location of the successful party I am prepared to discuss transport issues. Miscellaneous information: I have owned this car since 02-26-'07, and am probably the third owner. The mileage on this car might be 164578 [odometer only shows 5 digits] but in all probability is 64,578. I state this based on the limited paperwork which came with the car and my personal experience, having owned a number of these cars.
