Up for auction is my original owner, rust free Excursion from high and dry North Florida. Adult owned and impeccably maintained since new. This Excursion has never seen snow or salt and has never had any body damage or repairs. It has the stone reliable 7.3 diesel, posi 3.73 rear gear, extending tow mirrors, 6 CD in-dash CD player, leather seats, AC, cruse, back-up alarm, power everything, add-on trailer brake controller and XM radio. Never smoked in. Everything works as it should. The third seat and roof racks were removed and stored in 2001 and are in new condition. Tires have 5 to 8/32 tread and the spare is new. This vehicle has not been detailed and drowned in gallons of Armor All to cover-up years of abuse, what you see is the way the vehicle has been maintained since new. I purchased this vehicle new in March 2001 to tow my vintage race car. I crashed the race car in December 2001 and didn't race again until last year -- therefore only about 5 to 10% of the total milage was towing. I got the vehicle ready to go racing again (see recent service below) and then decided to go with a larger gooseneck trailer and therefore I have to switch to a pickup truck as a tow vehicle. The following service was just completed in April 2012 at 104,590 miles (1,577 miles ago!) --- Two new Ford Motorcraft HD 84 month batteries; drain & flush cooling system & refill with Ford 100K coolant; drain and flush transmission (including torque converter) & refill with synthetic ATF; drain rear end and refill with synthetic oil and Ford posi friction additive; service air conditioner system; check and test brakes, electrical system, etc., etc. Brakes have 40% and 50% life remaining front & rear. All work professionally done & I have full documentation. Less than 150 miles on fresh oil and filter. This vehicle is now good to go for its' next 100K miles. Note in pix a scratch in the plastic portion of the drivers side back door -- that is the only interior flaw. There are no exterior flaws. I have started the bidding at $10K to eliminate the twelve year olds with nothing better to do. I have lowered the reserve from when it was previously listed and added a buy it now. Also, I would be interested in trading up (with cash) for a nice 40' gooseneck race car trailer with lounge / living quarters. Thanks for looking.
