Vehicle Detail
For Sale: My black Supercharged 2008 Toyota Tundra Regular Cab Short Bed (RCSB) pickup. I am the original owner. I purchased it on June 21st 2008 from Wesley Chapel Toyota in Wesley Chapel, Florida. It was located and transferred to the dealer from Lowe Toyota in Warner Robbins, Georgia. I worked for the dealership in Florida at the time and I installed the supercharger myself and shot this video: Supercharger Install Video This truck has only seen pavement. It has not been abused, but enjoyed a single day at Bradenton Motorsports Park on January 22nd, 2011 as shown here: [Best time was a 12.9 at 108MPH on the original Bridgestone 18” street tires] Tundra Race Video Immediately after purchase I bought the TRD Sport Shift Knob, TRD Sport Pedal Covers (Discontinued due to recall), All-Weather Floor Mats (Discontinued due to recall), and Genuine Toyota 6.5 Foot Bed Mat. The daytime running marker bulbs have been replaced with white bulbs instead of yellow like stock. The windows are tinted 5% limo black and the windshield is tinted with 50% heat reduction. I had the truck dynoed before installing the supercharger, and it put down 315 HP to the wheels. After the charger, it pulled 515 HP. I then decided to sound deaden the interior. I went a little overboard. This might be the most sound deadened vehicle on earth. We have another 2nd Gen Tundra in the family, so I get to compare this truck to another Tundra regularly. To say it's quiet is an understatement. It's ridiculous. You can do 70 on the highway and anyone on a cell phone will think you're in a building sitting still. The only reason there is any noise at all is the aerodynamics, or lack there of. The glass is the weak link in noise. You can hear the mirrors being dragged through the air. But the funny part is, you can't hear that at all in a non-deadened Tundra. Take a look for yourself. It's logged on TundraSolutions here: Sound Deadening Build Log I purchased a set of 20" OEM Toyota Tundra Limited alloys with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tires with 5k miles on them and sent the wheels to Glenn's Wheel Polishing in Tampa, FL, for flat-black powder coating. I had them re-mounted, smart balanced, and filled with 99% nitrogen by Craig Knarick at Pit Crew Tire. Then I added a set of McGuard wheel locks for protection. The lock key is in the glovebox when you buy the truck. I also went to Topper King and bought a top of the line Leer 800 series, remote-controlled opening fiberglass toneau cover. It is beautiful with simple clean lines that blend into the shape of the truck. No goofy shapes, no obtrusive handles. Looking at Leer's website, they don't make these anymore. It was $1800. Finally, I've been eying 2nd Gen Toyota Sequoias for years wondering how many of the front end parts are the same. I really like the look of a Sequoia grill and bumper. So i spent some time in front of the computer parts breakdown of both the Tundras and Sequoias and figured out what was the same, and what was different. Just under $2000 later, I had everything i needed for a conversion. It's my understanding that nobody else on earth has done this. I've seen pictures on the forums of Sequoia grill swaps and bumper swaps, but not both. Either way, this is rare and awesome. It takes a Tundra/car guy to even notice. 99% of people think it's completely stock. Haha..... When I was notified of the recalls, I looked into the details and decided that cutting the pedal is senseless and was designed to appease the media hype, not to actually fix a real problem; same thing with the floor mats. You will get this truck with an uncut pedal and floor mats intact. What you do with them is your business. But I did get the A0A shim recall performed. Any dealer can show you this was performed if you check the VIN number with them. All maintenance is up to date. The tires are full of nitrogen at 44lbs each. Oil changes were performed every 5K miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic and genuine Toyota oil filters. The tires were rotated every oil change. Cabin filter replaced once and clean. The battery is still strong and tests good. There are no leaks, lights, or issues. All of the bulbs are good, the lug nuts are torqued to spec. As you can see in the pictures, the sale includes all literature associated with this truck including: Original Monroney Window Sticker Totaling: $28,550.38 plus dealer addendumOriginal 2007 Toyota Tundra Brochure including 2008 Update Features and OptionsWarranty Certificate from Southeast Toyota DistributorsPre-Delivery Service Check Sheet [PDI]Parts Content Information StickerOriginal Airbag Warning and Fuel Evaporation Pump Noise EmblemsOriginal Bed-Rail/Cleat Information Instruction PamphletBridgestone and Michelin Tire Maintenance, Safety, and Warranty Manuals2008 Tundra Accessory CatalogToyota Tundra Suggested Maintenance BookletSport Shift Knob Installation InstructionsSport Pedal Cover Installation InstructionsMobil 1 Purchase ReceiptsService Records Including:Supercharger Installation RecordReflash ECU Under Warranty Before 3-36 ExpirationRecall Notification LettersToyota Motor Sales Accessory pamphlets for: Supercharger, Shift Knob, Bed MatSupercharger Installation GuideOriginal Supercharger Mirror Hanger NotificationSupercharger Warranty CertificateTRD Performance Air Filter Cleaning InstructionsPre-Supercharger Dyno ChartDrag Strip Pass SlipsTRD Supercharger Decal Kit (New/Uninstalled)Receipts for: Shift Knob Bed Mat Sport Pedals Supercharger Sequoia Front End Conversion Parts I have enjoyed owning this truck tremendously, but it's time for a change, so she must go. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truck. It is meticulously cared for and maintained. The paint is beautiful with a glossy, deep black appearance that's as close to new as a 4 year-old truck with 26k miles can be. It is garage kept, waxed quarterly, and never off-roaded. The truck is in fantastic shape. There are no dents, dings, or scrapes. The paint is in excellent condition. The interior smells like new. The tires have equal treadwear from center-to-edge. The tread depth is RF=8, LF=8, RR=7, LR=7 32nds of an inch. That being said, it has driven enough miles to go around the earth once. If you want new, buy new. But if you want a very well maintained, top-condition truck, then this one is for you. The asking price reflects the truck and the owner. Show me another ad for a truck of this caliber, with these options, with this history, and with this level of attention to detail; and I’ll show you a kick-ass vehicle that the next owner will be proud to drive. The engine still retains the original 5 year/60k mile warranty until June 2013. The sale includes all 3 original keys, including the valet key and two transmitters (All programmed and working.) This vehicle is for sale locally. I may end the auction at any time. The bank still owns the truck, so appropriate arrangements will have to be made with the bank upon purchase for ownership to change hands. I have over $40k invested in this truck. I’m accepting offers. But the first one with the money gets it. Good luck! You’re gonna love it.
