We traded it in on a new vehicle. ****This Mustang is being sold “AS IS” as a Mechanics Special. However, it is not a typical mechanic’s special. This car actually runs and drives great. It does need a few things though. It needs brakes and possibly rotors. It also needs repair or replacement of the drivers seat. This Mustang failed the VA State Safety inspection because of these 2 things. The gas gauge does not work on this Mustang either. Lastly, the gear shifter is difficult to move out of park. The transmission works fine, the problem is in the shifter itself. So for someone with the know how and expertise to fix these things, you could have a great sporty Coupe on your hands! **** This car belonged to a long time family friend. About two years ago, he became a pastor at a church about 4 miles from his house. That explains why so few miles have been put on it in the past 2 years and why he did not really worry about some of the imperfections, he only drove it about 35 miles per week. Not only do you get a Super Easy to Drive Automatic, but you also get the aftermarket CD Player and AM FM Tuner, Ice Cold AC, Power Windows & Door Locks, & So Much More! See more pictures at http://photobucket.com/carnet1998fordmusttlc Exterior: The look of this 1998 Ford Mustang is pretty cool. You get side body moldings for an updated look and a sporty profile on this Mustang. The coupe has an elonganated profile from the side which makes this car look as nice as the price. The rear is outfitted with the cool Mustang brake lights. You also get a rear spoiler that is the same color as the car. There is a body matching bumper with Mustang stamped into it. The rest of the badging is minimal with only the Ford and Mustang emblems. This Mustang is riding on a set of Factory Ford Alloys with 205/65/R15 tires. The tires would have passed the state inspection. The front of this Ford Mustang looks nice too. The angled headlights and the body colored bumper look nice. I do notice road rash here. There are lower body moldings that look nice too. Overall, this coupe looks good. There are a few door dings, minor scrapes and scratches that come with age. However, there is no significant body damage. This Mustang is actually a very stylish pretty car. Interior: The interior of this Mustang is done in a very nice complementary medium gray and black. The seats are done is a gray sport cloth. The 2 front bucket seats gives a sporty appearance. As stated before, the driver seat needs to be either repaired or replaced. It is not affixed properly to the body of the car which is what fails it for State inspection. There is some typical wear and staining on the seating surfaces as well. The doors and lower dash areas are all in the gray and the upper dash and center console are outfitted in black. This looks really sharp. The driver side door has the power controls for the windows, door locks and mirrors. The main dashboard has all of your standard gauges including: Speed, Rpm’s, engine temperature, and gas level. There is also a panel to the bottom left that will show any warning lights, none of which are or ever have been on. The steering wheel has the cruise controls on it for ease. The floor board on the driver side shows some wear. The carpet appears to have been worn down and through. The center dash houses the climate control and the audio system. The AC is Icy and works great. The aftermarket Pioneer CD player is a great add on to this coupe. Below the CD player, you will notice a factory installed CD Changer. This does not seem to work. In between the 2 front bucket seats you have 2 built in sturdy cup holders and a change holder. There is a padded armrest with more storage. The gear shifter is here too. This gear shifter is hard to get out of park. You have to push it to the right. Once out of park it is easy to operate. This is NOT a problem with the transmission (that works great) but an issue with the actual shifter. The rear seat is a bench style and can sit 2 more adults. It is also a split seat that will fold down to allow for more trunk cargo if you need it. I do notice some light staining back here as well. Overall, you will find some normal wear and tear and light staining inside of this Mustang. However, the main components all work as they should. Under the Hood: This Coupe has a 150 Horsepower, 3.8 Liter engine that gets an impressive 29+ miles to the gallon. This car drives just great. I continue to be surprised each time I drive it! With a transmission that shifts smoothly, an engine that is strong and even peppy and ice cold ac, this Ford has it all! Price! We are an Independent Dealership! With love overhead and high volume, our cars are priced less than most private sellers and normally only a few hundred dollars over our cost. We can provide quality cars at a low cost. Look at Wal-Mart, high volume companies save you money. 2. In VA, all of our running vehicles have to be State Safety Inspected. Virginia has one of the most strict inspection processes. An independent shop inspects such components as Lights, Suspension, Brakes, Tires, Windshield, and More! We usually plan on spending at least $600 per car to get them to pass state inspection. So, you have piece of mind that this inspection has been done recently. 3. As a dealer, you never have to wait to legally drive and register your car. Even if there is a bank payoff or title, we can facilitate an easy exchange and provide any necessary temporary tags and accompanying paperwork so you can drive away at the time of pick up. (Please note, not all cars qualify for temporary tags if we have the original title at time of transfer. 4. Safety! As a business, you have the added security and confidence that your safety is maintained at the time of pick up. No driving up to a stranger's house, our transactions take place at a licensed dealership. 5. Information available about each car we sell! We are professionals with years of experience. We are not dumping any unwanted junk out of our back yard on ebay. We spend hours taking detailed photos, including specific information about each car, and adding our own impressions of how a car performs. We do not have emotional attachments to these cars and try to be as honest as possible about the overall condition. 6. On, ebay you have the confidence that you are shopping with a state licensed, bonded and insured company. We cannot scam and run eBay frauds the way private sellers could. Plus, look at our years ebay history. We want to talk about a couple of items. We are Wholesale Dealers. We buy our cars Directly from New Car Dealers or Private Sellers, Not Auto Auctions. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that we sell quality cars. When they are traded in, someone at the new car dealer drives the car. When we buy the car, someone from our dealership drives the car. If a car has a problem we either fix it or disclose it. We have no intention or knowledge of ever selling a car with a problem. However, all cars break. I wish I could, but I cannot predict when a car will break. We do our best to represent the vehicle fairly, however, we are human and do make mistakes. Any minor imperfections consistent with age are not reasons for refusal of delivery/pick up or negotiation. We sell cars As Is, and cannot warranty any vehicles we sell so please take careful consideration when bidding on or buying now these cars. Whenever we sell a car on ebay, we always seem to be asked how we think the car would function on a long drive home from pick up. I think this Mustang would make any drive home, however, due to the safety concerns I would not recommend it. This Mustang should be shipped or trailored until the repairs to the seat and brakes can be done. We are wholesale dealers, please do not ask us to arrange, or compensate for delivery, shipping, transportation, or other related expenses. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel bids from zero or negative history bidders. If you have no or negative history, you Must contact us prior to bidding. All of our auctions recommend, and we encourage, Local Purchase & Pick Up! Please make at least a $250 non-refundable deposit within 1 day via paypal. Full payment to be made within 7 days via wire transfer or cash. Any car not paid for and picked up with 7 days of auction ending will be considered non-paying bidder unless other arrangements are made. We schedule all pick ups of vehicles between 9am-3pm Monday thru Friday. If you need alternate arrangements, just give us a call. Please feel free to call or text us directly at 804-928-9099 or 804-938-8767. Please add a one time Dealer Processing Fee of $199 fee to any final, winning bid that covers any expenses such as courier fees, final delivery cleaning, etc. . email carnet1@verizon.net with any questions or concerns.
