Up for Auction I have a 2001 Mazda Miata 5 Speed. I purchased this car in May from my uncle. I intended to use it for my weekend trips to upstate NY and save on gas and enjoy the summer with the convertible. I have been averaging 34.5 miles per gallon each time. The only problem I have is that I am 6'5'' tall, its a cramped fit for me on long drives. Its a shame because I love the car, its reliable, handles great, perfect for the summer. My uncle Rich has been the owner of this car for years now. It has been meticulously maintained: synthetic oil from day one. The glove box has just about every single service record since he has owned the car. At 91,000 the Timing chain and cam adjuster were changed, and the clutch and slave cylinder were replaced at 80,000. The gear box and differential fluid was changed at 91,00 as well. The michelin tires are in great shape all the way around. This car was never driven in the winter time even once. It has been garaged kept every winter he owned the vehicle. The car is completely stock except for the sway bar in the engine bay that connects the two shock towers (improves handling). The battery was also new this year. The car was used less than 9000 miles a year. The interior is in great shape, no rips or tears or stains. No check engine lights, rough idle etc. The top does not have any holes or fraying and does not leak. I also have the soft top that snaps down behind the seats and covers the convertible roof when it is in the down position. It just looks nicer, no real function. I ordered a set speakers from krutchfield specially made to fit this car, I never installed them but I will include them with car of course. The body is in great shape, no rust or major dents or scrapes. The pic shows a dime size dent in the rear of the car and two dimples on the trunk lid thats it. The car needs nothing, ready to go, and a lot of fun to drive. Please email me with any questions. I stand behind this car and wish it worked out better for me.
