Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a one of a kind 2004 Mini Cooper. I have had this car since January 2009 and it has been an excellent daily driver for me. At the time of purchase, the car had 42,318 miles on it. This car has a blue rebuilt salvage title due to engine water damage. There was water sucked into the engine intake and it hydro-locked. One piston bent a rod and damaged the block. The engine was professionally repaired and I have never had one bit of problem with it since the repair. A cold air intake was put on the car to prevent any further flood damage to the intake in the future. This is a well known documented problem with the early base model Mini Coopers. None of the interior was ever submerged or touched by the water. The car was a local vehicle and we had a very heavy rainstorm in October, 2008 which resulted in the car's damage. Evidently, the driver drove through a very deep puddle, water was forced into the intake which stalled the engine and she tried to crank it. That is when the rod broke. The car is actually blue but I had to have a pink car so I designed my theme and had it wrapped exactly like I imagined it. The body and paint are in excellent condition. If the winning bidder chooses to remove the wrap, the paint will not be damaged from the removal of the vinyl, if done professionally. The interior is in excellent condition except for a very slight wear spot on the side of the passenger seat. The car has 16" daisy rims and run flats. The tires are in excellent condition and the fronts are brand new with less than 500 miles on them. The brakes have been updated with cross drilled rotors and low dust brake pads. It has a power panoramic sunroof that works perfectly. The electrical system and accessories all work except for the driver's power door lock. It will lock with the remote but has to be manually unlocked using the key. This just started happening a few months ago. I was told it could be just the door lock actuator. I named my car Alice Cooper and she is the most photographed car in Lubbock, TX. Everybody that sees Alice just loves her and will stop me to take a picture. I really love my Alice and I talk about her as if she is an actual person. People are crazy in love with her eyelashes but those can be easily removed, if not your thing. I have shown this car in many car shows and won several First Place trophies in the Euro Class. I have pampered this car the entire time I have owned her. I am selling Alice because I have another Mini Cooper S convertible and I am now wanting to buy a Mini Cooper Countryman S. My husband has informed me that I cannot have 3 Minis. :( One has to go, so I am keeping the convertible, as you cannot get a Countryman in a convertible. Otherwise, I would definitely keep my Alice Cooper! I am selling her on Ebay because I could not stand to see her around town with someone else driving her. Alice would be a great vehicle for a business such as a floral or gift shop. Whoever this car goes to, it will make a great vehicle for someone and I hope she goes to a great home. The car is sold, as-is with no warranty. I have tried to describe this Mini Cooper as best I could so there will be no surprises. NADA.com shows this car as equipped for $13,025.00 clean retail. I am putting it up for sale with no reserve. If you have any questions, you can call my husband, Frankie @ 806.549.3473.
