One of a kind numbers matching 1957 Mercedes Benz 300c Lang with just about every rare option Mercedes offered for these cars. According to the factory, immensely wealthy perfume magnate Ferdinand Muelhens of "4711" Au de Cologne Perfümeriefabrik ordered an identical car to that of his dear friend, West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, right down to the flag holders, extended wheelbase, remotely controlled curtain for the rear window, side rear curtains, table, sunroof, division window, etc. This unique car also features a Minimax fire extinguisher, radio controls in the rear, blinking light horns, Mixo fanfare horns, automatic transmission, grab handle on the dash, special compartments built into the right rear door pocket, shortened steering column, and probably other bells, whistles and doodads I have yet to discover. Page 1 of the Lieferschein is filled to capacity with Sonderausstattung and Kundenwunsch special features and there must have been at least a page 2 listing the rest. The car is original and numbers matching, including the original numbers matching chassis, body, motor, dated set of 5 wheels (11/56), and even the ignition key is the original numbers matching key. There are a mere 59,000 kilometers on the odometer and the car was running when last parked in 1988, where it has rested ever since. The interior is original and complete, but is in very poor condition. The story I was told by the previous owner is that a neighborhood kid used the car as his playground and then it was left to the Texas elements. There is very little rust on the entire car, but the organic materials are dried, torn and cracked from heat and exposure. The kid rammed his bicycle into the sides of the car and there are numerous dings as a result, but the metal is solid and repairable. The good news is that you still see the way the car should be and the ultra rare long wheelbase parts are all there. The car is offered in "AS IS" non-running condition and requires complete restoration. I am including in the price of the car a solid division window 300b parts car to ease the restoration. Both cars have clear title in my name. If you are interested in restoring an Adenauer, this long wheelbase 300c is a wonderful candidate, in that it showcases the rarest options in combination and according to the factory it was intended to replicate Adenauer's Adenauer. If you are over 5 feet tall, don't bother with a standard wheelbase division window Adenauer, there just is not enough room in the front or the back.
