Vehicle Detail
The AACA Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania is offering this 1902 or 1903 Curved Dash Oldsmobile. There is some question as to whether it is a 1902 or 1903, or combination of both. The milage is unknown the 999 was for listing purposes only. The chassis appears to be complete. The body is a combination of some original and fabricated wood pieces. The engine has had a poor quality weld repair completed over 50 years ago. It also is believed to have an incorrect carbureator. The car is missing the Compression Release Pedal with the serial number. It is also missing the brass identification plate in the rear engine compartment. The water resevoir is also missing. Accordingly, the VIN number used here is only for listing purposes. The Museum does not have a Seial Number or VIN for this vehicle. There is also questions about the wheels being correct. The oil lamps are also not correct for this vehicle. This car was put together sometime in the late 1940s and used during numerous (early1950s) AACA Tours and Shows, until it was put in storage in the late 1950s. There are a lot of valuable Curved Dash Oldsmobile parts on this vehicle. The car has not been run since it was put away in the late 1950s. The right person could find or fabricate the missing parts and bring the car back to its full potential. This 1902/03 Curved Das Oldsmobile is represented in the photographs but interested parties are strongly encouraged to ask questions and/or schedule a personal inspection. This vehicle is offered as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. The car does not have a title an will be sold with a Bill of Sale to the new owner upon the successful completion of this auction and with verified payment. Shipping and transportation of the car are the responsibility of the new owner. We will gladly work with your shipper/transporter of choice to coordinate the move. The new owner will have two weeks from the auction close to pick up the vehicle, otherwise a storage fee will be charged. Payment must be made within four business days after the acution's close in the form of a cashier's/bank check or bank wire transfer. Payment will require clearing through the Museum's bank account before the car is released.
