Vehicle Detail

VERY NICE 1985 HONDA ATC 350X *NO RESERVE* Well, I hate to do it, but here it goes...I purchased this trike 4 years ago from a gentleman in Nebraska. I am the third owner. In the 4 years I have owned it, I have only taken it to The Adirondacks 3 times for a total of less than 12 hours of riding. Other than that, she's been up and down my road a dozen times just to keep everything lubricated. It was very lightly used by the previous owners, and even less by myself. It is a very solid, reliable, powerhouse. This thing eats 400EX'S for breakfast. It does not smoke, leak, or burn oil. I can't let it sit, covered in my garage anymore. I need to know that someone else is out there showing it off, and having a good time. It is a real head turner, and conversation piece.I'm going to start off by listing any characteristics that do not make this trike "MINT", like everybody else says their's is. While installing the DG pipe, the top left stud snapped off the head, bringing with it, a half inch piece of cooling fin. My friend, who owns a tool and die shop, helicoiled the head, minus the small piece of cooling fin, and installed a new oem stud. This has no effect on the machine what so ever, and is not visible behind the flange. The plastic protector over the front brake cable cracked recently due to age. I just have some black tape around it right now, and it also is fine. The plastics, have "less than" normal rubs, and scratches. The frame is solid, but has some chips out of the paint. I did touch up a few spots with oem passion red.The fuel tank is an IMS oversized, 3 gallon plastic tank. It has only been filled 3 times. It's still like new, and has the oem Honda petcock. The original tank was beyond repair due to heavy rust on the inside. That's what happens when you remove the tank, and let a potion of naval jelly, and water soak in it for 2 weeks. I kicked myself for that one.The mud flap, when I recieved it, was only held on with 3 screws. This is because the mounting holes for the screws are either stripped, or not able to thread a screw into. I epoxied each hole, and inserted the appropriate size screw for each "hole", to keep the mud flap on. It's not the prettiest job looking at it close up from the underside, but from the back it looks ok, and it is not going anywhere. The seat is in fantastic condition, but has a couple of small stains. I don't know where they came from.Any small pieces of weather stripping foam that can be seen on the underside of the fenders in the pictures, is to protect the fenders from rattling against the frame when riding.Ok, now for the good stuff...Let's start with the front of the machine.I recently put a brand new 24x8-11 Goodyear Tracker MP on the stock front rim.The front brake pads are 12 hours old.It has both a chrome headlight guard, and front brake reservoir guard.New oem grips.New K&N air filter.New D.I.D. chain, and new sprockets. The front is a 14 tooth for a little better top end, and the rear is a stock 40.DG Exhaust with 12 hours on it. Very noticable increase in power, but it is much louder.BRAND NEW OEM tool kit, with a new pouch, includes ALL tools. (Box is in great shape)After market OMF rear skid plate.22x11-9 Kenda Knarly XC tires with 95 % tread, mounted on Polished, Offset ITP rims. The offset rims along with BRAND NEW 1 1/2 inch billet aluminum spacers, give it a very wide 52" stable stance.Rear brake pads are 12 hours old.***Now for the EXTRAS...*** I am including the original oem tires, and remaining 2 oem rear rims. Also the stock exhaust, stock skid-plate, stock grab bar, an extra head that I bought as soon as I broke the exhaust stud, the owners manual, the service manual, and a cover.THIS MACHINE DOES NOT COME WITH A TITLE DUE TO THE STATE IT WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD IN. I HAVE A TRANSFERABLE REGISTRATION WHICH WORKS THE SAME WAY, AND IS REQUIRED IN NY. I JUST SIGN THE BACK, AND THE MACHINE IS YOURS.I have included many (NON ARMOR ALL) pictures to help show everything. I hate it when folks pour 3 gallons of Armor All over their machine before taking pictures of it. It's a pet peeve of mine. They were also taken in direct sunlight to show all imperfections. Thanks to Ebay, the pictures aren't as good as they are on my computer. If you like, I can email you the link to my Kodak Easy Share folder of about 36 pictures, that you can really zoom in on. Don't worry, it's not spam. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. I also encourage anyone to come see it in person in Ontario New York. (20 minutes east of Rochester). *** VIDEOS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE NOW ON YOU-TUBE***THEY ARE TITLED "1985 350X IN ONTARIO, NY" http://youtu.be/uXfdlVH1pqo"1985 350X IN ONTARIO, NY #2" http://youtu.be/jFBA-JTK30gand"1985 350X IN ONTARIO, NY #3" http://youtu.be/sWuUoGTEijE THIS MACHINE IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY.I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION IMMEDIATELY, IF AN ACCEPTABLE OFFER IS PRESENTED TO ME.
