Vehicle Detail
This is a 1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT, I have been working on it off and on for several years; drove it for a while and then parked it. Time and money issues have made it impossible for me to finish and it has just been sitting for far too long. I have poured money into the engine and chassis all that is left is body which is in pretty good shape already. ENGINE: Custom 400cid M engine. Block is a m-series with a 400 crankshaft, rods have been resized with ARP rod bolts and bushed for full floating piston pins. New Comp Cam small RV cam, lifters and double roller timing chain. 351C flat top hypereutectic pistons, new rings, cam, main and rod bearings. Installed brass freeze plugs, thermostat and housing. CYLINDER HEADS: 351C 2V heads with all new intake and ehaust valves, guides, springs to match cam, seals and a fresh valve job. new rocker arms with accel roller fulcroms and pushrods. I used FelPro PT headgaskets and intake gaskets CHASSIS AND DRIVETRAIN: All tierods, center link and ball joints are new, control arm bushings new and new brakes front and rear. New u-joints on both front and rear driveshafts, front differential is new OE spicer limited slip with 4:10 gears and all new bearings and axle bearings. Rear differential is new Detroit Locker with all new bearings and 4:10 gears and new axle bearings. Transmission was rebuilt about 1100 miles ago with a new TCI towmaster torque converter. THE REST: The rest of the items include a new MSD magnetic distributor, edelbrock RPM intake manifold and edelbrock carb. New plug wires and spark plugs installed. Power steering pump, water pump and alt all replaced around 1100 miles ago, new belts, new HD radiator factory "super cool" radiator with correct hoses, new HD fan clutch and trans cooler. I am sure there is more that I have forgotten, bottom line that mechanically this Bronco is right and solid. It has been sitting so fuel tank is out and cleaned. just needs the finishing touches. The engine has been started and run but then it sat. carb has been cleaned out and fuel has all been drained and I installed the new distributor. I have new body bushings for it but they are not installed yet, also have Hooker header that will go with it. does have dual exhaust out the back now with stock manifolds. DON'T MISS THIS ONE, I AM A FORD TECHNICIAN AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE RIGHT IT JUST NEEDS TO BE FINISHED!
