Up for Auction is a 1930 Model A Roadster that a dad bought for his sixteen year old son for a father son project...the car was disasembled to store in the attic (still has some insulation on it)....I have bolted it together for pix, and it can be unbolted for easy haulin in a pickup or van....What a gr8 body to build an original roadster or a Bonneville salt flats race car....the sheet metal on this roadster is unbelieveable....no rust down low in the cowl, doors or quarters...the main problem with this body is that the subframe and floor pans have been cut out to channel it over a frame...a tubing frame for a street rod would work well here....the fender wells have been cut out also but those are available and a easy fix... the value in this roadster body is in the doors, trunk deck, and quarters.....they are very nice and hard to find in this condition....the trunk deck has no rust and the doors have just a few pinholes (no patch panels needed).....the quarters ar good and are straight but have had tail lites cutouts on the rear corners....there are repop corners available for $32....the cowl has no rust out in the lower panels but has been cut out along with the gas tank....there is no firewall but your goin put a recessed one in anyhow.....nice lower stanchions.....I was goin to prime the doors and body but decided not to so buyer can see that this body is good and not a bunch of filler....now I did find some lead in the bottom of driver door (see pix)......this tells you how far back this body had any work done on it...nobody pours lead any more.....
