Toyota Celica 1985 Rag Top Up for auction is one of those "HARD TO FIND" classics that will only increase in value with time and care. Best of all, the car is almost all original, drivable, in fair condition for it's age (there is some rust but it appears minor and now some collision damages as well) and at an affordable price! This Toyota has been owned by only 2 people, the current owner bought it as an investment only, storing it inside a building for about 14 years, driving it every now and then. We do not have the manual unfortunately. The original canvas top was badly torn so was replaced with a new one several years ago but it is still in good condition with no tears. The motor presently in the car is the same Toyota motor as the original but was installed because the original motor was overheating. That original motor is available at no extra cost to the winning bidder, however. The existing engine has about 64,000 actual miles on it and runs very well. The car itself has 138,279 miles on it. From looking at the few cars like this model that I have been able to see via internet, it also appears as though the plastic housing for the convertible top is missing. The current owner recently hit a deer on the drivers' side damaging the door and front quarter panel and the mirror on that side was also shattered upon impact. Please look at the enclosed pictures as I took several of that damage. FYI - I list vehicles for good friends and family only and can tell you just what they know and what I can actually see. Most of the time, they are not even cleaned so what you see is what you get! If a title search is done on this cars' title - it does indeed indicate that it was declared salvage several years ago. I have enclosed a photo copy of the actual title (I purposely blotted out the owners' name for privacy) however, please note that it was considered "salvage" for only I DAY! That is because the owner called it in to collect on his insurance policy to have the damage repaired. The only "damage" was to the convertible top! It was immediately repaired and that is why it was "salvaged" for the one day! PLEASE do not let this minor discrepancy effect your bidding on this awesome vehicle. There can always be discrepancies however and I want total satisfaction from my customers.
