Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my extremely low mileage, super clean, great running and driving 1984 fox body Mustang convertible. This car is a factory high output 5.0 V8, four barrel, 5-speed car with power steering, power brakes, power top, power locks, power windows (front) and manual windows (rear). The air conditioning blows extremely cold as noted in the picture using a thermal sensor. This car has averaged less than 1200 miles a year over it's life time, although I’ve put that many miles on it since buying it a couple of months ago from a guy who had it stored and covered in his garage. When you look at this car, you would swear you’re back in 1984 again. This car has the original AM/FM cassette stereo, TRX wheels and NO modification to the engine, exhaust, etc. If you looking for an early “four eyed” fox body convertible in a beautiful color combination (Dark Charcoal Metallic with Charcoal cloth interior) then look no further. There are a few imperfections that you need to be made aware of: There is a ding/scratch in the upper drivers side rear quarter panel (see picture), a few minor rock chips here and there and on the left side of the drivers side seat, on the lower left (see picture), there is a place about 1 ½ inches where the cord is exposed. Also, both sun visors are cracked where they have the factory bend (I would replace if I was keeping the car). Overall, the body is extremely straight, paint shines bright, and top is in great condition with no holes, rips or tears. The dash has no cracks, windows roll up and down like they should, all gages work, etc., etc., etc. You will NOT be disappointed. The car is currently located in Muskogee, OK but I’m taking it on a road trip to Little Rock, AR on Tuesday and will be in the Fort Smith, AR., the rest of the week. If you are in these areas and would like to personally inspect the car, send me and email and we can arrange a meeting. The car is not for sale locally only because I will be on the road enjoying it while the auction is going on. The car is being sold “as is” and “where is”. No warranty is expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for picking the car up in person or arranging for pick up at buyers expense. A non-refundable down payment of $500 via paypal is expected within 24 hours of close of auction. The remainder of the balance to be paid in cash when picking up the car or by certified cashiers check within 7 days. Check must clear my bank before the car and title (free and clear) will be released. Please allow 7-10 business days before making arrangements for pick up if paying by check. Please don’t bid on the car IF you don’t already have the money/finance in place. This is not a bid now; see if you can come up with the money later auction. Look over the pictures and ask any questions you might have. Thanks and happy bidding. Russ On Jun-02-12 at 04:46:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Good morning everyone. For those who have been watching and/or bidding on my car, I appreciate your interest. With about 30 hours left before the auction ends, I just wanted to let you know that the reserve price has been lowered just slightly. Why do you ask? The car is worth every bit of what I'm asking but what I'm hoping to do is create even more interest/buzz in the car on this last day. I figured once the reserve is meet (and you where getting close before I lowered it) those of you that are really interested, know the value and appreciate these early, clean, low mileage fox bodies will know you are bidding to win, not just bidding to see if the reserve gets meet. As I had mention to someone who asked a question about the car earlier, I have "drill" this weekend so if you ask a question during the day, I won't be able to respond until late this afternoon, but I will answer the questions at the first possible chance I get. Also, I did take the car to Little Rock, AR this week so now the odometer is showing 33,300 miles and counting. I will continue to drive and enjoy the car until it sells and is paid for. Thanks again for your interest and happy bidding. Russ
