Vehicle Detail
This is a great condition Riviera. My father bought this car to drive until he no longer could. He's 77 years old a figured this would be his last car. He bought it because of the only 4000 miles driven per year and the great color. Of course after buying it and completely fixing it up with good tires, alignment, all oils and filters changed, new halogen headlights to help him see better at night, brakes, 120 amp alternator, new drive belt, idler pulley and everything else he could think of to fix, he thought he better drive it to see exactly how he liked it. He absolutely loved the car with the exception that he thought the touch screen, which though it works perfectly, might give him a challenge as he gets older and has trouble quickly seeing and adjusting it. That prompted him to look for a newer Riviera. He found a 1992 Riviera that has the newer style dash, but had more miles on than the 1987! He bought that car and also loves it! So his 1987 Riviera with the scarce Ultrasuede interior and Lear Siegler seats is up for sale. It starts, runs and drives excellently. The Air Conditioning will freeze you out, the rear air leveling shocks and pump still work flawlessly. This car was well taken care of and other than the cracked original windshield which still has the plastic inside layer as when it came from GM it is probably as nice of a 1987 as you will commonly find out there today without finding a ultra low mileage garage queen. The paint looks to be all original with original painted stripes. There is no visible rust anywhere. It looks to have spent most its life on dry roads. There are of course some very un-noticeable scratches consummate with its 25 year old status. They do not show in the pictures and are hard to see if you are more than a couple feet away from the car. I have driven the car myself and it has good power, shifts very well and is overall a car I would feel comfortable driving anywhere. When Dad bought it there was a faux continental kit and grille shell installed on the car. It was probably all part of the package that included the carriage roof. Dad did not like the look and removed the continental kit and grille shell. He has both and will provide them to the new owner if they desire them. My one picture that shows the mileage also shows a service engine light, that is because the car is not running in the picture. There are no warning lights on when this car runs, everything works with no issues! This Riviera will make someone a great car to either drive or take to cars shows. Dad says he wants $500 via PayPal within 48 hours of a successful bid that meets his reserve and the remainder of the money via certified bank money order or cash within seven days of winning bid & auction close not counting weekends. Thank you for looking at my fathers car. On May-26-12 at 10:06:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I talked with Dad this morning and he told me he also has the Riviera listed for sale locally and that if he sells it locally he reserves the right to end the eBay auction. He said he may consider a "buy it now" here on eBay if a buyer and he set a agreeable price. Thank youOn Jun-01-12 at 19:12:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I've been asked for some pictures of the rear seat area. I've added two so please take a look at those. The rear seat area looks to have never been sat in. On Jun-01-12 at 19:19:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I've just talked with my Dad and he said to lower the asking price. He said that the car is going to sell as he does not need two Rivieras! On Jun-02-12 at 09:10:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Dad Says to Sell The Car. The Next Bid Meets Reserve. This Car Will Sell!
