1973 FORD BRONCO EXPLORER MODEL I am listing this Bronco for my Grandfather who is 90. Any specific questions can be directed to my Father at rccoleman@sbcglobal.net There is also a photobucket link at http://photobucket.com/1973Bronco HISTORY: (Most recent to oldest) ¨ This fine example of a 1973 Ford Bronco was purchased by the current owner in October of 1987 from a car dealer in Hillsboro, Texas. ¨ The mileage on the odometer at the time of registration was 57,880. The current mileage is 64,100 indicating that it has only been driven a little over 6,000 miles in the last 24+ years. The Bronco has been stored in an insulated shop and properly maintained. At the age of 90, the owner has decided to let the Bronco go to a new home. ¨ Although we do not have any verified history prior to 1987, the original dealer who sold it in 1987 believes that it was a trade-in from the original owner who had it for the initial fourteen years between 1973 and 1987. (Note: Seller cannot verify this information.) RECENT MAINTENANCE: The following items have been completed in the last few months to bring the Bronco to a good drivable condition. ¨ A rebuilt same as original carburetor has been installed. ¨ New power brake booster has been installed. ¨ A tune up has been completed. ¨ Transmission pan gasket has been replaced. ¨ New radiator has been installed, same as factory original. ¨ New battery has been installed. ¨ It has been cleaned, polished and detailed. CONDITION OF BODY: In an effort to present this Bronco in the exact condition as you would see in person, we have specifically taken pictures of any blemishes that a buyer would want to see. ¨ The body has been checked with a magnet to determine if there is any body filler. None was found. ¨ The paint appears to be completely original. It polished out very nicely. There are a number of scratches, but the appearance is amazing for a 39 year old vehicle. ¨ There is a small scrape on the driver front fender just behind the bumper. See photos. ¨ There is a dent upward in the middle of the hood, likely from an air cleaner hold down bolt. ¨ The paint is worn through on the top edge of the driver’s door. ¨ There are a number of scratches on top of the passenger side front fender. ¨ There is a top rack. Don’t know if it was a factory, dealer or owner addition. CONDITION OF THE INTERIOR: ¨ The interior is all original and has not been redone. There is some fading on the molded plastic parts. The fabric inserts in the seats are in very good condition. ¨ It looks like carpet may have been glued to the inside of the top at some time. ¨ The original rubber floor mat has a tear on the driver’s side of the transmission hump and there is a short tear on the passenger side. ¨ Carpet has been added in the back seat/cargo area. ¨ The dash pad has a slight buckle on the passenger side. ¨ The headliner needs to be replaced. It is serviceable, but does have some damage. MECHANICAL: ¨ Following the completion of the items listed in RECENT MAINTENANCE, the Bronco has been driven around locally. It runs and drives very well. It seems a little cold natured requiring a warm up when first started. This may be a choke adjustment issue on the new carburetor. The transmission seems solid and shifts properly. The four wheel drive also works as expected. ¨ Following the installation of all new front end bushings, the front end was professionally aligned. ¨ The original air cleaner has been removed in the past and is not included.
