This is a 1923 Buick 6-55 Sport Tourer. It was the top Buick built this model year and was aimed to supply a lower cost option to the 1923 Cadillac sport Tourer. The car featured carpeted floors, and leather dash This car was fully restored about ten years ago. The engine and all running gear were rebuilt; new upholstery and top. It and has a complete set of side curtains and a removable cover for the rear seat. The car has been on several VMCCA “Nickel Tours” and has been equipped with turn signals, and an additional brake light The car was restored to original except that the fuel system has been changed. I have replaced the original carburetor (which I have) with a Carter BB3, and it has a 6 volt fulltime centrifugal fuel pump in place of the vacum tank. I have also added a water temperature gauge. Currently the speedometer does not work. It has been driven abouit 3500 miles since restored.
