She is a fully-loaded showroom car with red exterior/interior, spoiler, skirts, chrome wheels, and ALL of the added features. I have found TWO that met this exact criteria in my entire time of searching, and I drove across the country to retrieve this one. Her name is Tatiana and she is well taken care of. She was garaged by her two previous owners in the Midwest for 6 years (no snow/salt exposure). She has endured ONE winter in Boston, MA, with me. Given the recent discontinuation of the rotary RX-8, combined with the rare OEM package and matching interior/exterior trim, this car will soon be a collector's item. While I realize the KBB value of a stock RX-8 with 75k miles comes out closer to $9.5k, this is not a base model. I am accounting for the coveted combination of all of these options, and meeting halfway on the price of the recent mechanical work, with which KBB agrees. Look at the pictures and I think you will too :). Why I Am Selling Her Having to sell her is like selling my soul; unfortunately I recently moved to a dirty, one-way street in downtown Boston's Chinatown, with no indoor parking. The reason for selling is two-fold:My dreary highway commute of 70+mi/day, summer & winter, is more conducive to a Honda Hybrid than to my beautiful RX-8 - rising gas prices aren't helping any here. Vandalism in my new area is VERY rampant. This car turns heads and receives comments EVERYWHERE I go, but it goes both ways. After a couple of close encounters and threats to my vehicle, I decided to put this car in a storage unit and purchase a Mazda station wagon. Condition She runs like a dream, and has been excellently maintained with proper maintenance, oil changes, and oil top-offs in between (as required by design). She was flooded only once and taken care of by a dealer. Other than that I have not had any problems with her that tend to plague some other '04 RX-8 owners. If you look closely, there are a couple of exterior nicks to her otherwise perfect paint, from normal road usage and standard pebble kick-up on the front bumper. Again, she has only been through one New England winter. There is one existing annoyance. I recently replaced the catalytic converter under the OEM 8yr/80,000mi emmissions warranty and they left a screw inside my muffler, which is now rattling around inside the at sub-10mph speeds when you blip the throttle. I got a second diagnosis from another mechanic, and there is nothing mechanically wrong, damaging, or worrisome here, except for the sound itself. You cannot hear it under normal driving conditions. It should be fixed easily by having a look at the muffler itself. I know of no other existing issues with the car. The Specs I have not found this combination of features on any other RX-8. I get positive comments on her EVERYWHERE I go... the dealer I bought her 2 years ago from kept her in his showroom.
