Vehicle Detail
Has clear Florida title in my name; all VIN numbers match including factory number plate in trunk cross bar and stamped number on back seat tunnel. Whatever one you buy, make sure these are there! A real Acapulco has running board mounting nuts up inside the rockers from the factory. The pictures without any top are before the New running board pads were installed so the boards are not on in those pictures. The hardtop pictures show the new boards installed. The new rubbers are much thicker than the originals. Other NEW items: windshield glass & seal; complete front seat re-cover (set has form/pad/liner/clips/etc). These items are from THE THING SHOP. Still needs back seat coverings (see picture). Also, a new back right floor pan going from under front seat to the back lip under battery was installed-which repaired a hole that was just under the battery(picture#12). New battery & terminals(a heavy rubber insulator is between battery & seat springs-some of you know why:)) . New front blue tint road lights w/lighted under dash switch & an under dash (cowl) neon light. New header exhaust. The paint is new but average quality job and is complete in door wells, under dash, in trunk, etc. Looks pretty good. Only rust on body was small bits at back rockers (see finger magnet pictures-magnet still clings) and bottom of fender areas (some bondo/painted now). The underside is strong flooring/support and as mentioned one hole that now has a screwed in factory pattern (from VEE DUB) w/water tight sealer. See pictures of the floor from inside which now has rubber matted cushion installed. Comes with seat belts (some to be installed), jack and jack parts, spare rim/tire, extra wiper parts, etc. Has a tow ball and trailer lights for jet ski trailering. And, bumper mounted tow bar w/heavy rubber pads at the hood and bungy cord contact points (this type tow bar is best for motor home pulling; of course it is removable). A SOFT TOP FRAME in excellent condition is included, needs a vinyl top cover (PICTURE OF THIS FRAME OFF THE CAR IS AVAILABLE). Just had the carburetor rebuilt so runs out strong, starts easy, great shifting w/no hang-ups, no oil burning smoke, has full size oil filter conversion/add-on, original breather intake. Tires are safe and lots of tread. Brakes great, but would have checked for fast cruis'n. The steering seems very acceptable with no noises or typical rust that sometimes attacks in that front suspension. Although it has a new header exhaust, it really isn't very loud. Tidbits: Doors lock(driver door w/key); as seen-plastic door window inserts; all FOUR @good seeing condition; excellent windshield frame(NO rust); things that do not work: horn (installed new horn , won't work)/wipers(looks new motor?)/left rear directional/not sure about gas gauge. All else works including oil//generator lights//high-low beams//even glove box light//cigerette lighter(now removed for under dash neon plug-in) and radio plays. NOTE: The deposit is : NON-refundable. Sold in as is condition, although it is very functional, fun, good handleing, etc. I recommend : Bears Transport PH: 866-858-8066 FX: 847-589-0830; bonded/insured/ethical/fair The engine has the original breather canister. The floors had a metal rust neutralizer applied, and then painted black with the rubber diamond patterned mats front/back.
