Hello, for sale is my meticulously maintained 2004 Excursion, here are the specs: Year: 2004 Make: Ford Model: Excursion XLT 4x4 Color: Black Clearcoat on Medium Flint Leather Engine: 6.0L PowerStroke Turbo Diesel V8 Transmission: Automatic Drive Type: Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Mileage: 95,363 Miles Previous Owners: 2 VIN: 1FMSU41P64EC04516 -------------------- This truck has been perfectly maintained its entire life! Full service records to this day on CarFax (not Autocheck). Here are all the descriptions on the truck: Exterior: Great shape with very minimal wear. Only one scratch on the left hand side. No rust at all. Heavy Duty trailer towing package. Custom Front Grille and Bumper with Enclosed Fog Lights. Aftermarket 20" Wheels with great tires (over 75% left). Reverse Sensors. Running Boards. Paint is in awesome shape. Interior: Very clean and meticulous. Everything inside works! Plenty of features such as: Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Seats, Cruise Control, Leather Seats, Power Adjustable Pedals, Automatic Headlights, Wood Trim Package, 6Disc CD Changer, Rear HVAC Controls, Rubber Floor Mats, 2nd Row Bench, 3rd Row Bench, 2nd Row DVD Entertainment System. Powertrain: Engine/Transmission/Transaxle are all in PERFECT mechanical shape. No noises, no leaks, no nothing! Two new Motorcraft batteries. Exhaust in great shape, no leaks. Transmission shifts as smooth as butter. Engine doesn't burn oil or coolant. Starts right up! No check engine light or any dummy lights on at all. Suspension: Rides good for it's age. Doesn't pull to any side. Nice and quiet ride. Ok, here's the back story on this truck. I purchased it from New Jersey at the beginning of the year. Before the trip back to Chicago, I stopped into a local Ford dealer to get a quick oil change performed. 30 miles outside of New Jersey, the truck started knocking. Long story short, some debris fell into the cylinder during the oil change and cracked a few pistons. Along with that, some valves were bent as well.... The rebuild: After months of diagnosing and deliberating, I put forth all my efforts into making this truck indestructible! It started with a Total Solution 6.0L Bulletproof Package from Cobb's Diesel Performance ($1,550), which included: ARP Head Studs, Pair of Black Onyx Head Gaskets with 18mm Dowels, EGR Delete Kit with EGR Cooler and Valve Delete with Up Pipe, Ford OEM Engine Oil Cooler with Screen, Complete Intake Gasket Set, Black Onyx Exhaust Gasket Set, Ford OEM Turbo Mounting Kit, and an SCT Handheld Programmer with a custom tune. After my kit came in the mail (see pictures), I had the truck transported to Scheid Diesel Service in Lafayette, IN ($550). They diagnosed the engine, took the body off the frame, and removed the engine for me to rebuild (see pictures). I had the engine delivered to Advance Engine Rebuilders in Wheeling, IL ($275). The shop disassembled the engine and rebuilt it with my Bulletproof kit and a whole host of new parts, such as: New Pistons, New Rod Bearings, New Rings, New Valves, New Rods, New Gaskets, and New Seals including the Rear Main ($4,658)(see pictures). Upon completion of the rebuild, I had the engine delivered back to Scheid Diesel ($275). Scheid Diesel also replaced the Fuel Pump and rebuilt the turbo from an outside source, then installed the new engine, put all the accessories back on, and put the body back on the frame ($3,334). I picked up my truck from Scheid and, all said and done, $10,642 later, this nightmare was over! Side note: The 3rd receipt at the bottom states that there was a rear main leak after Scheid finished the truck. That was correct. Apparently the rear main seal that Advance Engine Rebuilders used was cracked. This problem was addressed to them and they gladly replaced the Rear Main Seal again. No leaks, I promise! To sum this all up, this is a 2 owner truck that was kept up with all its maintenance throughout its entire life; there are maintenance records on the CarFax report as well as the recent engine service I had performed. It is also CarFax/AutoCheck Certified with no accidents, floods, salvage history, total loss, etc. This generation of Excursions are known to last up to 1,000,000 Miles with proper maintenance and care, especially with the Bulletproof Package! With all that being said, there is no way I will break even on this truck unless someone would like to offer me $26,000.. So I know I will lose money, but in return, someone will have an AMAZING truck that will outlast anything on the road. Built Ford Tough!
