Vehicle Detail
This car is one of only 945 originally made by MBz in the 1960s, early 1970s. I read less than 500 remain. Most have rust. VERY few were originally painted black, this is one of those few. It is also a German model (more valuable). I bought this one 10 years ago because she was in California (still is) and VERY clean. Took many of pictures of the undercarriage 5/19/12 and spotted one little spot of rust on passenger side behind rear wheel. Easy to fix. Have included a picture of that area here. Another dollar sized spot on rear chrome fender (also seen in picture of the back of the car). This car also has the original radio clock, and air conditioning unit. Air conditioner worked when it was charged & paid to have clock repaired to original condition. Clock man said it needs to be adjusted to run faster or slower after time is set. Added newer radio below air conditioner and will remove to leave dash intact. Wood is BEAUTIFUL. Interior is good, has only one spot on the passenger armrest and one worn spot on driver seat. The rest of the leather is in excellent condition and looks original, as today's re-upholstered seats look different. Headliner is in good condition, one small spot on passenger side near handle. This car is a good candidate for a full restoration, as it has been partially restored. It has very few small dings. What you see in pictures is without any detailing. The car has not been altered to be put up for sale. I never intended to sell this car, so she has a rebuilt engine less than 1,000 miles, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt fuel injector system, front end work, new brakes, within the past 9,000 miles. I believe the engine is the original engine the car came with. This car purrs, her suspension feels awesome, and she attracts people's attention everywhere she goes.
