1972 Ford van, Econoline 300 Supervan, SUPER CLEAN! It has a 302 V-8 motor and an automatic transmission, both of which are working great. This van has an unbelievable LOW,LOW 34,000+ original miles. It has a rust-free body and frame as it has always been stored inside all its life! This classic / collector van is SOLID! Before I bought it 3 years ago, it was a Pennsylvania Firehouse vehicle that was used to pull their Dive/Rescue Team boat and divers on seldom water rescue/diver calls (note the old paint job). The amazing condition of this van can be explained by housing it in a heated Firehouse garage every winter, as there are no Dive/Rescue calls made in the cold winter months. This light winter use kept it out of the extreme elements and away from road salt. For the 3 years I've owned this van, I too, have stored it inside during the winters. I kept it in my attached garage each of those 3 winters to continue to preserve its solid condition. It was recently tuned up and it runs very well. Even though I put less than 2000 miles on this van, I still changed the oil 2 times per year to keep the motor clean. All door handles and locks work perfectly, from the inside, and also from the outside with the key. There is indoor/outdoor carpeting on the bed floor with 6 hardware tie-down points along both sides of the bed for securing any load (we hauled band equipment for my wife's band). Also included is one spare tire on a rim, and a 3-person bench seat with seat belts, pictured in ad. The seat is easy to install and remove as desired, as it mounts with 4 bolts. My mechanic loves working on this vehicle and has commented: - "it is a treat to work on because it is so simple (uncluttered) " - "so clean you could almost eat off the underside" - "so clean you can count the threads on the frame bolts" YOU CUSTOMIZE IT! The inside of this van is NOT finished, but that is part of its charm/flexibility/value. I always thought it would make cool "rare and classic" conversion van for fun road trips. Or if you desire, use it for hauling any desired cargo (band equipment, camping gear, etc.) The van does have its needs: tires, valve cover gaskets, and a glove-box door.
