Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a TRUE ONE OWNER CALIFORNIA CLASSIC 1964 PLYMOUTH FURY! INCLUDED IS THE ORIGINAL PINK SLIP, ORIGINAL VEHICLE AND PURCHASER IDENTIFICATION CARD THAT IS STAMPED WITH MATCHING VIN # TO THE CAR AND THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL. This car was a SPECIAL ORDER from the factory and has been in the same family since BRAND NEW! It has ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED throughout its entire life. The ORIGINAL OWNER purchased the car from PEABODY MOTORS in SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA before enlisting in the military. The car was paid off by the owners sister in 1969 and I still have the ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA PINK SLIP DATED FROM 1969. This car was a SPECIAL ORDER VEHICLE with a 318 V8 and 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ON THE COLUMN WITH NO OPTIONS MEANING: NO POWER BRAKES, NO POWER STEERING ETC... don't ask me why... that's just how he wanted it. The car has 106131 ORIGINAL MILES and since being pulled out of storage the odometer has stopped working but that is the original mileage on the car. The odometer is currently stuck on 6131. The car has only had one repaint in its lifetime. Unfortunately it was an amateur Macco job and they didn't pull the chrome and trim off causing unnecessary overspray on most of the brightwork. The car has always been red with black inserts and still retains the ORIGINAL PAINT SCHEME. IT LOOKS SHARP! All the chrome and stainless are in NICE SHAPE for being ORIGINAL. I would recommend pulling all the trim and chrome and having it polished if I were to have the car professionally painted again. This is just my opinion. The body is STRAIGHT. It does have some unnecessary bondo but its not bad. Remember... its Macco quality. The car is 98% RUST FREE and the only reason there is any rust at all is because of water sitting in the rear quarter after the car being washed and the weep hole not being cleared. The same thing goes for the passenger side door hinge area as seen in the pictures, both of which are very small sections of rust. I just wanted to point that out to any potential buyers. THAT IS THE ONLY RUST ON THIS CAR. THE FLOORBOARDS, TRUNK AND REST OF THE CAR ARE SUPER SOLID AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A GARAGED CALIFORNIA CAR. All the glass is ORIGINAL to the car and in GREAT SHAPE with the exception of the passenger side window which has a very very small chip. I was told that it could be filled since it's NOT a crack. The tires are from the 1970's-early 80's and I believe they are bias ply and should be changed for everyday driving. The car still retains all 4 ORIGINAL HUBCAPS which are in good shape for their age. The car retains the ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA BLACK AND GOLD LICENSE PLATES WITH THE ORIGINAL DEALER FRAMES STILL INTACT. The interior of the car is more than 50% ORIGINAL to the car. With the exception of the seats being reupholstered in the 90's. The carpet, headliner, door panels, dash, steering wheel, package tray etc... are all ORIGINAL to the car and in GOOD SHAPE for their age. The dash pad has a small crack from where a tachometer was mounted at one point. It is no longer there. The passenger rear quarter window panel has some sun damage. The rest of the panels and interior are in VERY NICE SHAPE and are VERY PRESENTABLE. The only things not working are the left side of the gauge cluster which consists of the stock fuel gauge and stock temp gauge, the odometer and the clock. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS GREAT AND FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD! The windows roll up and down with NO ISSUES. The HEATER WORKS, as does the DEFROST. The stereo WORKS GREAT. It is an aftermarket tape player that was installed in the 80's at some point. I do not have the original radio. The HORN WORKS, the EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKS, as do all lights and blinkers. EVEN THE INTERIOR COURTESY LIGHTS WORK! There is an aftermarket temp gauge mounted below the dash. It works great. There is a counter to count the mileage so you have an idea of how much gas you have consumed. The car GETS REALLY GOOD GAS MILEAGE FOR A CLASSIC CAR. ANYWHERE FROM 16 AROUND TOWN TO 20 ON THE FREEWAY. Its almost hard to believe that an old car like this car get such great gas mileage! The engine has never been rebuilt just regular maintence of all major parts and a carb rebuild. The transmission is ORIGINAL with the exception of a clutch replacement. The clutch is SUPER STIFF AND HAS TONS OF LIFE LEFT. The brakes have ALL BEEN REDONE at one point and work well. NON-POWER BRAKES! THIS CAR RUNS GREAT, FIRES RIGHT UP, SHIFTS WELL AND BRAKES WELL. IT IS A STOCK TRUE ONE OWNER CALIFORNIA CAR. IT HAS NOT BEEN CUT UP OR MODIFIED EXCEPT FOR THE TAPE DECK INSTALL. OTHER THAN THAT AND THE INTERIOR COMPONENTS AND REPAINT IT'S EXACTLY HOW IT WAS WHEN IT WAS MANUFACTURED AND ROLLED OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE IN 1964. THIS IS A GREAT CAR TO DRIVE AND GETS ALL KINDS OF LOOKS FROM EVERYONE ON THE ROAD. TRUELY THIS CAR HAS BEEN WELL PRESERVED AND WILL BE A PLEASURE FOR ANYONE TO DRIVE AS-IS OR POSSIBLY RESTORE BACK TO STOCK SHOWROOM CONDITION. IT IS ALSO AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE FOR A MAX-WEDGE 426 HEMI AFX CLONE CONVERSION. THIS CAR IS SOUGHT AFTER BECAUSE OF ITS 3 PEDALS (CLUTCH PEDAL) BEING A FACTORY MANUAL SHIFT CAR.
