Vehicle Detail
This is the first year of the full size bronco and one of only 2 years with solid front axle. This particular bronco has every option that was available in 78 including the optional square headlamps and very rare sliding rear side windows. I have started the rehab of this vehicle, most of the mechanicals have been done however it has been sitting for a few years but here is most of what I have done: Engine: 400 cid bored .030 with full floating flat top 351 cleveland hypereutectic pistons, the connecting rods were fitted with full floating bushings and ARP bolts. The crankshaft was turned, polished and the holes chamfered. New pushrods, lifters and a comp cam rv camshaft (most mild cam avail). new double roller timing chain and gears, new oil pump...you get the idea...all put together with fel pro gaskets Cylider heads: 351 cleveland 2v that have been re-surfaced with all new intake and exhaust valves, new valve guides, new valve springs with retainers and locks, new rocker arms with Accel roller fulcrums. Transmission: C6 that has been completely rebuilt with mild shift kit, TCI tow master torque converter. All u-joints have been replaced in rear drive shaft Drivetrain: Rear diff completely rebuilt with new bearings, seals, Detriot Locker with 4:11 gears. Front diff rebuilt with New Spicer (oem) limited slip, new bearings and seals, new axle u-joints, front drive shaft u-joints The rest: new PS pump and hoses, new water pump, voltage regulator, alt., brake booster, master cylinder, front and rear brakes, new rear springs with new front leveling springs, tie rods, drag link and all front bushings and I have new body bushings (these have not been installed yet), new fuel pump, Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock Carb, new Mallory magnetic distributor, new plug wires, ect.....Mickey Thompson wheels with brand new Toyo front tires and rear tires are Mickey thompson with only a few thousand miles on them (they look new), new heavy duty radiator and heavy duty radiator hoses, new heavy duty fan clutch...ect I am a Ford master tech, if you have any other questions please just ask.....the engine has been started once however the fuel tank is out right now because I cleaned it out and just have not had time to reinstall. It does have a MSD 6 on the vehicle however I am not sure it works so I am bypassing it but it will go with the vehicle. This is not a perfect vehicle and it is not finished but it definately could be drivable very easily, I was driving it before I rebuilt the engine I just have no time and no money left to finish it....my loss and your gain, if you were to do this much it would cost literally thousands of extra dollars but it is already done, don't miss this..!
