Vehicle Detail

2003 Porsche Carrera Excellent Condition, Tiptronic, w/factory Aerobody & GT3 tail. *NO RESERVE * Highest Bidder Wins * I can email you a copy of the original Window-Sticker if you are interested. Also, there is a video with a lot more details and pictures (if Ebay disables the link email me I will send you the link): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y31kugvoo0I Although this Porsche is a Carrera it is extremely rare in that it has the same factory aero body and signature rear wing as the much sought after GT3 which sells for $150,000+. This 996 is also equipped with the 5-Speed Tiptronic S transmission with Indy-style paddle shifting making this car exhilarating to drive allowing you to keep both hands on the wheel while flying down the highway. You can choose to either manually shift or use automatic mode depending on your driving preference – very cool feature. I am a Porsche purist (this is my 3rd) and was not a believer in the Tiptronic paddle shifting until I drove it – now I’m a believer. This car cost $86,884 new and is nicely optioned. It is Black with Black Leather interior, has driver and passenger power seats w/memory, power sunroof, Xenon headlamp package, 18” Lt alloy Carrera wheel package with color crests, Bose High End Sound Package 6-CD. I am the second owner of this car. The first owner lived in Palm Beach, Florida and put 73k miles on it. I purchased the car in March 2009 and have only put an additional 3k miles on it. The car currently has 76k miles on it and I have enjoyed the experience of owning this car. The car has been meticulously maintained and cared for. The car has always been garaged, has never seen snow, is stored in the winter and is only driven on perfect weather days. I looked long and hard for this car -- I looked at a Targa and a few other standard 996 coupes fell in love with the styling of this one. All of the other cars I looked at had fewer miles than this one, but this one was in MUCH better condition and was not abused at all. It was driven regularly on the highway, the leather interior still smells new, the carpets are perfect and the body looks and drives amazing. I babied this car and so did the previous owner -- it is fully detailed, and you’ll have to look very hard to find any imperfections. I have all service records since I have owned the vehicle and it has always been serviced by certified Porsche shops (Automobile Associates, Canton, CT). As soon as I purchased this car I replaced the stock IMS Bearing with the more trusted Ceramic bearings as a preventive maintenance measure. This is an expensive upgrade ($2,500) but can be a real issue later in life if it is not done. Be sure to check that it has been done on any Porsche (1997-2008) that you may be considering. The car does not leak or ooze any fluids as is very common in these models. Tires are good only 3K miles on them), brakes have probably about 20% left on them. I just had the vehicle serviced May 2012 and it is ready to go for summer. The A/C blows ice cold! I have thoroughly enjoyed this car but this is my second car and I can't drive it to work and my wife is not really into it (crazy, I know). So it’s time to pass it on to some other lucky soul. This car will put you in a good mood. The exhaust note is amazing. People will be jealous. It is more or less fully depreciated, so buy it, enjoy it for a few months or years and then sell it for about the same money. If you want to run a Carfax, the VIN is WP0AA29933S622602. Disclaimer: If you look back on my history (going way back), I have been selling on Ebay for over 10-years and have 100% Buyer Feedback. I have sold every Porsche I've ever owned on Ebay as well as 2 Ferrari's and numerous other collectible cars (too many to list). I am not a dealer just a car enthusiast . Neither am I a fixer-upper or a mechanic. I only buy (and sell) cars with NO-ISSUES and this car is no exception. I have done my best to describe this vehicle and I have babied it beyond belief. That being said, it is a used car and shows normal wear for the year and miles. From 10 feet away you won't notice anything, unless you are OCD like me I can spot a piece of lint on the carpet from 10 feet away. Be realistic and this car will not disappoint. I welcome anyone to come and see the vehicle first hand before bidding. The car is being sold As-Is without warranty (written or implied). I will help you arrange transportation as I have great connections for as many cars as I have bought and sold online. The title is clear and I will require a $1000 non-refundable deposit via PayPal at the close of the auction. Upon receipt of a Certified Check from a World Bank (within 7 days of close of the auction end) I will release the car and the title. Please Please make sure you can comply with these requirements before you bid on this auction. Email me with any questions. Good Luck! On May-13-12 at 18:46:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Important Note: Buyer is responsible for either picking the car up locally (Litchfield County Connecticut) or for paying all Transportation/Shipping Costs. (Again, I will help with the coordination of shipping)
