This is a neat project truck for someone...its a 1959 GMC 100 1/2 ton shortbed pickup..what is rare, besides the fact that it is a hard to find GMC, is that its a fleetside (wideside) and has a big rear window. Hard to find one of these which has all these attributes. Looks like it is in mostly original paint...has a little bondo on the drivers side fender. Very original really...though it has no engine or trans..still has its original suspension up front, spare tire carrier..even the jack is inside. Looks to have been a V8 3 speed manual truck originally...also has deluxe cab chrome trim. Has been off the road for nearly 30 years but rolls and steers just fine. Truck is off the CA DMV computer and will be sold with a bill of sale. Generally needs restoration but is a good start....has rust in the dog legs of the fenders, the drivers door bottom edges..the passenger side door is probably too rough to save because of dirt being trapped inside and rusting the bottom edges. The cab itself is really good..surface rust on the drivers side floor and steps..but no rust through seen. Might be a little but it will be very little. Passengers side floor is really good...all that Cape Blue you see inside the cab is original paint...original seat looks to have been reupholstered at some point in the past. All the glass looks good..a little bubbling on the vent windows but generally really good for 50 years old. Frame is surface rusty as it was a farm truck I am sure for many years..but it is California surface rust..not pervasive rust from salty roads. Will need the wood in the bed too..the tailgate needs replacing but they are the same from 1958-66 on the fleetsides and are available used and new repro. Great rat rod project or tow truck for your gasser.. I tried to be pretty complete...but trying to fully describe a 50 year old project car is difficult...ask questions!
