Vehicle Detail
Selling a 1958 Edsel Pacer 2 door. The electric shifter, pushbuttons mounted in the steering wheel, works. The motor is decent, doesnt smoke, lots of power and appears original as it is the e-400. The front suspension has been rebuilt a few years ago and it drives and handles very nicely, has the boulevard ride, no bad habits. Power steering is tired, a few slow leaks but servicable. Overall, no major leaks and this vehicle just needs to be driven more often than I can. TIres are decent, interior is fairly nice, a few small rips in the upholstery, nothing major, and the dashboard has been redone. It appears to have never had colission damage, probably original paint and you can see there is not much rust for a car this age. This vehicle was built on a chassis, it is not unibody. This is a big car, room for mom, dad, 3 kids and a couple of dogs. All the glass is in good shape, the moldings are stainless and in good condition. The moldings which are not mounted are in the trunk, which is also huge. There is a bald spare, but it is holding air, and the torision spring which held the trunk open is broken, I have to use a stick to keep the trunk open. Some of the gauges work, aftermarket oil pressure and water temp gauges are mounted, the radio is original, makes noise but no antennae, am only, anybody's guess but it looks cool. The original E hood ornament is gone, long gone in fact. The gas tank had a slow leak years ago, I put one of those JC Whitney gas tank sealers in it, it used to be ok but it has been years since I put fuel in the tank. THis car seems to be mostly original, I drive it now and then, and the brakes are good and it is just a fun vehicle. It is more than 50 years old and who knows it's history, so it is being sold as is. I have owned this car for years, and it has mostly just sat for the last 5, I only start it up once in a while and drive it around the block.
