Vehicle Detail

My business has serviced this car since the early 90's (part of my business is servicing and restoring Porsche cars.) I recently aquired the car from my friend that owned it and just did a major service and cleanup on it. This is a brief overview of the car. Last owner purchased the car from me in 1999. We replaced the engine in 2005 with a 2.7 that I had just rebuilt for another project. This engine has had the Machine work done at Ollie's in CA. It was align honed, spigot bores were trued, Case savers installed. Heads had new guides and valves done inhouse. A new Carrera tensioner kit installed. New Std./ Std. rod and main bearings on a polished crank. 40IDA3C Webers were set up for the 2.7. Has MSD Ignition. Axles were rebuilt at this time and a new SSI exhaust installed. Runs AWESOME! Miles on engine are about 30,000. (With Mobil 1 15/50) In 2011 we refinished the car. The paint was over 25 years old. Most panels were stripped. The car had no rust issues, it has seen a lot of garage time. Spies Hekker products, base/clear coat. The chassis on this car is in really great shape, especially for a short wheelbase car. At the same time we removed the engine and trans to install a new Sachs clutch pack. replaced the rear main seal and Trans seals. The transmission shifts great but has a bit of a whine in the first four gears, it is a 901/02 5 Spd. We also rebuilt the front calipers, installed new wheel bearings and new rotors. Car has stainless brake lines. This car has 911SC front suspension and brakes, tires are very good, wheels are 7&8s. Has front and rear Roll bars. Previous owner had all the guages rebuilt at N.Hollywood Speedometer, I just have to say, they are the BEST. (he also had the faces replaced obviously). The dash is original and has had the front portion recovered. Not show quality but good. For anyone who buys the car and wishes to put it back to original, I have a set of seats, a very nice front bumper, and a front 67/68 911S suspension (that has been rebuilt). These are NOT included in the auction but I will give a very good deal on them. Pictures of these items are in the listing. The car is currently in excellent running and driving condition. If you have any questions please call 910-792-6263 / 910-616-7792On May-06-12 at 15:54:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, I could not add a picture of the engine compartment. If anyone would like to see it just email your email address. On May-10-12 at 15:35:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I have discovered why there was transmission noise. I was looking at the pictures I posted on Sunday and if you look at the picture of the transmission mount area and floor (facing toward the front of the car) you will notice the area where the transmission shift rod goes through the firewall area,(round hole). There should be a rubber bellows type seal there and one on the inside of the car where the shifter rod and the transmission rod join. There were no seals. I ordered new seals on Monday from Stoddard and installed them today. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I also adjusted the shifter rod. Shifts and sounds great!!
