Classic British Roadster for Sale For auction is an unrestored but complete 1961 MGA 1600 roadster, iris blue exterior with black interior, with 85,409 original miles. It is not currently in running condition. This model has a 1600-cc 4-cylinder engine with twin SU carburetors, a 4-speed manual transmission, wire wheels with knock-off hubs, and front disc brakes. The body is in generally good condition. There are no dents, although there are some rusted areas by all four wheel wells and on the top of the rear driver-side fender just behind the door. The chrome is in fair to good condition throughout – the chrome on the grille and bumpers are in good condition. The doors, hood, and trunk are aluminum and are in good shape. The convertible top, although complete, is not in good shape and would need to be replaced for a proper restoration. The vehicle’s electrical system had been converted to negative ground (alternator) by a previous owner. The vehicle was very reliable when used as a daily driver (I have owned this car since 1984), but it has been in storage (garaged and under cover) for over fifteen years.
