1987 Toyota MR2 T-Tops 5-Speed Greetings and welcome! This is a NO RESERVE auction, so whoever is the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins this car! The vehicle title is clean and clear and ready to go! I am the 2nd owner of this Toyota MR2. The original owner put very easy miles on it and I acquired it around the 70K mile mark about 5 years ago in the amount of $3,500.00. I decided to create a simple, clean, and amazingly nice car. This would take some time, but I began the project. Although the interior was (and is) in fantastic condition, the factory seats needed reconditioning. I purchased Momo racing seats as their replacement. A Momo steering wheel. I wrapped the sun visors and shift knob housing in black suede. Put in a 93+ MR2 shifter with a Razo shift knob. Windows tinted by Black Diamond Window Tinting. And opted for an aftermarket sound system. Since my ownership, the MR2 has received: ** A new paint job (professionally painted by Jimmy Tanimura for $4,000.00)** A custom stereo with Alpine head unit, MB Quart Amp, front speakers and sub ($1,500.00)** Momo GT Seats Black/Grey, Sliders and Brackets ($1,300.00) ** Eibach Springs, Tokico Adjustable Struts, ST Sway Bars, Cusco Strut Tower Bars, etc. ($1,200.00)** Installation of suspension and brake parts by Johnson's Alignment in Torrance, CA ($1,200.00)** Club MR2 suspension parts ($625.00)** Porterfield Brake Pads ($465.00)** Momo Steering Wheel and Hub ($275.00)** Window Tinting by Black Diamond, Valencia, CA ($200.00)** 93+ MR2 shifter with Razo Shift Knob ($100.00)** At 74K miles, Marina Del Rey Toyota performed a major service, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, new passenger side window regulator and used window motor, timing belt, idler assembly, cam seal, crank seal, water pump, tensioner, new distributor, cap, rotor, thermostat, and long life coolant ($2,061.97)** Around that time, I also had Marina Del Rey Toyota put in a new radiator and drive belts ($585.00) So including the cost of the car, all my expenses total over $17,000.00! All of these mods have roughly 5K miles on them (so basically all the parts are like new) with the exception of Momo seats - I just put these in a few days ago, so those are in mint condition. This was a fun project put together over the last 5 years. Due to an exciting new addition to the family, this little 2-seater has to go. I'd love to keep it, but in the next 5-10 years, I estimate that I'd almost never be able to drive it. I'd love to see it go to someone that would really take care of it and love driving it! It runs and drives fantastically! Ice cold air conditioning, it handles amazingly nice, and the stereo is wonderful! This car is currently insured through American Collector's Insurance for the agreed value of $15,000.00. I highly recommend them to insure you as well for the actual value of the car. Their rates are great! Lastly, due to the configuration of the racing seats, it can only fit someone that is roughly 5'9" or shorter. If you are taller, then you'd have to modify the racing seats brackets. I encourage you to ask questions!
