Offered for sale is a very nice classic Ponton. The car is a "driver" condition. It starts easily and runs very well, really a pleasure to drive. New brake master cylinder, and the brakes are very strong. The car does tend to pull to the right a little under heavy breaking, therefore the brake shoes may need adjustment. The body of the car is perfectly straight, no dents, bondo or accident damage. One respray in the past, and the paint is holding up well. It was a base coat/clear coat job, and all trim was removed prior to painting. Lavander metallic paint is very pleasing to the eye. Pictures don't do it justice. The underside of the car has no undercoating, just an original paint finish with light patina in a few places, no rust damage whatsoever. Even the spare tire wells in the trunk are completely solid (see pictures). A little bit of time with a wirebrush will bring the underside to factory condition. The floors and door bottoms are in similarly wonderful condition. Truly a remarkable 53 year old survivor! Engine, clutch, transmission, rear end are all strong, in good working order. Refurbished fuel tank and rebuilt carburators. Replaced shifter bushings and adjusted linkage, transmission shifts flawlessly! Now, the not so good: The interior has been reupholstered with velour fabric, and while it is certainly presentable, and still in good shape, the car deserves to be returned to stock condition, and done right. Wood is in need of refinishing. Spare wooden dashboard fascia in good condition is included. One chrome spear molding on the rear left fender needs reinstalled, but is included. The glass and trim are in great shape. All the gauges are in good working order, as well as the rest of the electrical system. This is about as good as it gets for a Ponton in this price range. Don't let this one get away! Drive it as is, or do a light cosmetic restore. 2 keys: Ignition, and the trunk/door/fuel key. The jack and lug wrenches are there, 2 spare tires. Title is clear.
