2000 Honda Insight 5-Speed Greetings and welcome! This is a NO RESERVE auction, so whoever is the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins this car! The vehicle title is clean and clear and ready to go! This Honda Insight was originally purchased at Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge, VA. The owner took wonderful care of the Insight, performing all scheduled maintenance at her local Honda dealer. When I purchased it in the fall of 2010, she had just performed the 120K mile service. Late one night while she was driving home, she accidentally side-swiped a vehicle that damaged the left rear quarter panel by ripping the aluminum panel skin. It did not touch the frame or suspension at all. I looked over the damage and decided that the most cost efficient way of dealing with it was to simply go to Home Depot, purchase some Gorilla tape and basically just tape over the damage. It drives wonderfully nice and still gets over 60 mpg! I drove it from Virginia to Arizona with absolutely no problems and have been driving it daily ever since. Okay, in the time I've owned it, I've performed Mobil 1 0W-20 oil changes every 5,000 miles. I've performed a Honda Long Life coolant flush, manual transmission drain and refill, new cabin air filter, new Honda brakes front and rear with re-surfacing of the rotors and drums. I've also purchased all new Bridgestone Potenza tires (which still have 80% treadlife remaining) from Discount Tire Co. They come with road hazard certificates completely transferable to the new owner. I rotate them every 5,000 miles consistently. The air conditioning blows ICE COLD. With a cassette adapter, I can listen to my iPod or mp3 player with ease. Oh yes, I tinted the windows at Black Diamond window tint, located in Valencia, CA - some of the best window tint guys in the universe! The car runs and drives excellent. The transmission shifts smoothly. It's fantastic! The IMA battery light comes on every now and then. I simply disconnect and reconnect the negative battery cable, everything resets and it drives great! Sometimes the IMA light doesn't come on for months! I absolutely adore this car and it is by far the most economical, fun to drive car out there for the money! The only reason I'm selling it is I'm expecting an exciting new addition to the family and as you probably know, this car is only a two-seater, so it has to go... It will certainly make the new owner a very happy person. You will know right away that this car has been very, very well cared for.
