Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1974 Triumph TR-6. I've been toiling with this decision for the past 2 months and have decided selling it is the best thing. Me and the wife have our first baby on the way and have decided that the money from this sale will be used towards improvements to our house and savings for our baby. All my friends say that I am going to regret this but, here we go. Below I will list everything that has been done since I've owned it. I bought the car six years ago when it has approximately 94,000 miles on it. The car now has 111,488 miles. We drive the car on average about 2k miles per year. I will post more pictures in the next day or two. If you have any specific pictures you'd like to see or have any questions please ask. Mechanical: Engine / Transmission - Rebuilt approximately 10k miles ago. The machining and assembly was performed by Pro Machining of Woodville, Wisconson (I have the receipt) Engine was bored over .020", new piston heads, rings, all new bearings, performance camshaft, frost plugs, water pump, oil pump, all gaskets, head was converted for unleaded gas, new valve rockers and shaft. All guages work correctly. New sun visors and mounting hardware. Windshield frame trime and top cap. New Swiss Lamex wind shield glass. Original Triple XXX side glass still in car. Convertible top was installed by previous owner. I put a couple of small holes in the top at the rear corners from not know how to fold the top down when I got the car. The top boot is original and is in good condition. Exterior - Car was completely stripped of paint (car did not have ANY rust) there was evidence of two repairs. One was on the passenger side fender on the rear of the fender and the driver's side rear quarter panel. The guy that helped me in this restoration is a proffesional body tech with Hamline Auto Body in Minneapolis. He was very meticulous in his repairs. I have the pictures of the repairs. The car was primed and painted (including jams, under hood panel and under trunck panel at the Hamline Auto Body shop using Spies Hecker paint. The original color remains for the inside fender wells. The rear was painted with semi-gloss rallye black paint. The rocker panels were painted the same as the rest of the car. They were taken apart and cleaned, The gaskets from the lamp to body were replaced. The head light glass are made by Lucas and have Sylvania Silverstar bulbs installed. New Continental Contiextreme DWS tires (less than 2k miles) on 16" x 7" Konig Rewind wheels. No rubbing issues. Thank you for taking the time to review my listing. I have put alot of time and effort in this car. We get alot of turned heads and comments wherever we go from young and older people alike. Alot of younger people have'nt even heard of a TR6 before. This car runs and drives excellent (even better thanks to Steve Rixon). Succesful bidder will need to pay a $1,000 deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction. I am asking this to keep wishy washy people away and only attract serious bidders. This deposit will go against the final price of the car. Bidder is 100% responsible for any transportation of this car. I will help with arrangements at buyers expense. There is no expressed or implied guarentee or warranty for this car and is sold "AS IS".\ Bidders with a "0" feedback or have ANY negative feedback contact me FIRST before bidding. On Apr-30-12 at 05:08:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that I installed a new Series One radio from Retro-sound and four JBL speakers. http://www.retrosoundusa.com/products/category/id/1On May-01-12 at 16:53:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I will keep adding things that have been done as I remember them. 1. I changed the cardboard transmission and drive shaft tunnel covers to ABS covers when I had the engine and tranny out. 2. The radio antenna is new 3. The air duct hoses for the heating have all been changed out (the originals were cracking) 4. The windshield washer pump and cover are new 5. The scuttle vent in front of the windshield is new (an original Lucas replacement part) I also put window screening under it to keep leaves and bugs out) 6. The trunk liner panels were replaced When I bought this car my only intentions were to have a nice "driver car" but, that's not how it ended up. Some would classify this as a "frame on restoration". I would classify that I have OCD and having an "OK looking" car was'nt good enough. This car WILL make you smile and get lots of attention.
