I no longer need a car so the time has come to part with my beloved M3. This is an excellent car with an excellent engine, and it runs well. It needs some work (details below), so it's not for everybody, but with a little work you can own a car that drives like a Ferrari for under $10,000. The transmission (six-speed) is also in good shape. I am the third owner and I put almost all the miles on the car (starting at 30,000), first in California and since then in D.C. I know the car history well and have documentation for everything significant (maintenance, repairs, etc). I own the title 100% (clear). The interior is clean and the leather seats are in good shape. Please look closely at the pictures. Here are all the issues that I know the car to have. I just had a good mechanic replace two of the ignition coils (fine now), and he pointed out the technical items below:- Front and rear brakes need replacing- Thrust arm bushings need replacing- Tag lights are out- Front blinkers do not work (electrical problem). Headlights/brights DO work.- Electric locks work intermittently (again, electrical problem). Right passenger door handle (outside) does not work.- Display shows four blinkers out (although only two are -- the rear ones DO work).- Front of hood is missing its twin BMW grills; poor repair/paint job left hood slightly deformed at the very front and could use repainting/replacing (paint hue does not match) -- this is cosmetic only.- Some scrapes, etc -- all are visual in the pictures I was involved in two fender-benders (one front and one rear, both under 5 mph); there are front cosmetic issues as a result, but the vehicle itself is fine.
