Vehicle Detail

Amateur restoration done years ago. It was driven into storage six years ago. Flathead V8. I should have it running in couple days; motor turns with starter & there is spark to the points, but all spark plug wires test no conductivity. I ordered the original braided type as well as a resister coil and starter button. Antifreeze/water looked clean, but I drained and will detergent flush when it is running; I have new upper hoses. There didn't seem to be any fluid leaks when solution was in block. All the body parts seem very rust neutral. The cab and it's floor are very clean. Bed, fenders, running boards also solid. It will need some frame rust repair on both sides under the bed just before the rear axle. The grill does have the chrome frame rim, but not the center chromes. Have rear view mirror, sunvisors, original or original type heater box/channel/blower motor. Still 6 volt system. Picture #5 is the bottom inside of the passenger door(note the almost new metal condition). Driver door is the same condition only needing a re-repair of the bottom hinge(it closes fine). There is all new wiring harnesses which I am still deciphering (with supplied diagrams). Some installed or in place, some still in plastic bags. I know the starter turns and horn works when grounded. New Michelin tires. New brake drums are on truck; old ones sitting in bed. New "FORD" logo hubcaps to fit the later model rims now on it and the original 38 "V8" hubcaps (set of five; one on spare). Four 38 rims are in the bed and one is the spare rim. Have back glass needing to be installed with metal rear window frame(see picture of parts). Several of the front parts are new (tie rod ends, etc); so the steering is fairly snug for old technology. New windlace, seat coverings. Some cardboard inner cab trim patterns are supplied. All glass is very nice. Door windows roll up/down easy. Crank-out windshield is about functional, but I didn't want to force it before lubricating under dash mechanism. It is what it is. Any deposit is "non-refundable". The new parts that I ordered and mentioned have come in. In a couple days I should have more details on the running condition and hopefully be able to state it is operational for transport loading in the event it is purchased. An operational vehicle is $50 to $75 less for hired transport. I can also save a buyer on title costs with the truck's clear title. On Apr-26-12 at 18:13:07 PDT, seller added the following information: SHIPPING: buyer's resposibility and/or cost. RECOMMEND:((Bears Transport PH: 866-858-8066 FX: 847-589-0830; bonded/insured/ethical/fair)).On Apr-30-12 at 09:34:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I will not be available after May 15th. Any purchase and transport of this vehicle needs the best effort to complete by that date. Motor has compression and seems to want life again, but so far only a pinch of ignition. I have to recheck points setting, maybe distributor is shorting out (not sure if appropriate spark to all plugs). Motor turns at acceptable battery cranking speed and no funny noises. I've only added gas to the carburetor and little spray starting fluid, but have no gas direct or gravity feed. On Apr-30-12 at 11:59:15 PDT, seller added the following information: 10 day Vacation is my absent time reason. I'm not moving and the truck will still be at it's location. Title will be left with someone to release it if a purchase/transport arrangement goes past 5/15. On May-01-12 at 16:25:18 PDT, seller added the following information: update: it backfired and spit today. I may not have wires right or? Still turns good, compression for sure (don't have a compression gauge), but maybe I'll never figure it out? I put it into gear and pushed starter to move it backwards and find a small part I dropped. Clutch/trans worked that much:)).
