It has a cult-like following. The car is very fast, and it is a real hoot to drive. We cannot be sure what is causing it until the manifold is removed. I have been told that it is common for the valve stem guides to begin to leak at around this mileage. Looking beyond this, the car is really amazing. Read on to see what work has been done. This is my everyday drivers car. I live in Manhattan, NYC, and used the car to drive to Connecticut where I had a business. I no longer go to CT, so I don’t really need a car and now that there is the smoke, I thought it would be best to sell it. If you have questions regarding anything, please ask. I have done my best to tell you everything I can about this car. Overall, this is an amazing car that is unbelievably fast and fun to drive. The interior is nice and comfortable, all power, and the original Volvo sound system is made by Alpine and sounds amazing. I bought this car used in 2007 (with 116k miles on it) and put a lot of time and money into getting it mechanically fit. It needs a few cosmetic fixes and updates. No dash lights on. · The seats are very comfortable… especially for long distance driving · Spare tire was never used · Transmission works great · This car was originally sold in Canada… the odometer and speedometer was transferred per regulation (from kilometers to miles) when the car was brought into the US. The trip computer is in miles too. The climate control indicates degrees in Celsius (see photos) Work To Be Done To Make This Car Perfect · I already mentioned the blue smoke · Locking gas cap does not lock (it is supposed to lock when locking the doors) · There is a small tear on the vinyl on the glove box door (that can be glued down) · The A/C is ice cold, but the clutch is intermittent. Volvo told me the clutch is built into the compressor, so the compressor should be replaced to fix this. This is the clutch that disengages the A/C when accelerating quickly so all the power goes to the wheels. · Minor front damage. Mostly cosmetic. Someone backed into the car last summer breaking the corner light housing and misaligning the bumper. I have a new replacement corner light housing (included with car). · Driver’s seatbelt no longer pulls out easily, and I have a replacement that I bought on eBay (included with car). · Passenger side headlight wiper not working. I bought a replacement on eBay, but I have it in my storage bin… I cannot guarantee I can get it to you, but if I find it anytime soon I would be happy to send it to you. · The winter transmission mode does not work. Using this mode starts the transmission in third gear to try to avoid tire spin. This was not important to me so I never tried to fix it. It may be as simple as the switch, but I do not know for sure. · Rust on the hood, front drivers fender, and the inside of the trunk lid (cannot be seen unless trunk is open). These surfaces had been repainted before I purchased the car, and it apparently had not been prepped well. It is still solid though. · Paint in the roof is faded and discolored. Although the rest of the finish looks good, I was planning to eventually paint the car. · One of the front fog lights is out · Rear shock has a light squeak.
