1939 MG replica kitcar. This was a kit that you used to be able to purchase from a catalog that consisted of a fiberglass body with accessories that would bolt directly onto a VW Bug chassis. I do not know what year this was built and I also do not know what year the VW running gear is but to take a guess from the lack on emissions on the engine I'd say maybe in the late 1960's. The body has a couple issues with the hood and left rear fenders being the worst damaged but no pieces are missing and fiberglass can be repaired easier than metal. The left front fender also has damage as well as the top of the 'dashboard'. Doors are nice and undamaged. Right fender, both front and rear is OK, running boards are OK, and rear engine cover OK. The windscreen is bent; left headlight is missing; and the grill is damaged. Please look at pics closely for any issue I may have missed. The chassis is complete and looks to be solid except for the floor pans which are rotted. Front beam is in remarkably good condition as these were common to rot but this one is very good shape. There are no missing parts from motor, motor turns over w/starter, but I haven't been able to get it to fire so far all I can figure is the coil is bad. All other parts are on chassis. So what I'm offering here is either a project kit car or remove the body and make a dune buggy out of the chassis. No title is being offered with this item.
