Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1969 Pontiac Firebird. This car was customized and likely had 20k plus of 1974 dollars spent on it. It was a one of a kind Street Machine from "back in the day" It placed 37th out of 2500 at the 1978 Street Machine Nationals, and was leased by Daryl Starbird for Custom Shows Tours. It needs a complete restoration but It is a very solid car to build and will make a very cool car expecially with its period correct US Mags!!! It does not have much rust to repair. The frame rails are very solid . The trunk pan has just has a couple holes which is rare for a Camaro or Firebird of the era. The floor will need some pans or patching. The frame is very nice. The subframe bushings do not even look that bad. It has an early 70's nose piece and custom welded up hood and fenders that tilts up towards the front with L-88 scoop. It could be re-done and will have to be fixed. OR just put new replacement 1969 Firebird parts on the front. Nothing has been altered that would prevent putting a stock type front end back on the car. The car is a factory AC, auto , PS car. But, it was last fitted with a 4 speed so it has pedals and a small hole cut for the shifter. Car has whats left of the custom interior, some could be used. It also has a 12 bolt rear underneath it! It is missing the carrier, but the axles and the rest of it are there. Some of you may want to make a Camaro out of it and it's a great body to do that. Pontiac guys, be on top if you don't want to see that happen! A great car to build , Clean Clear Oklahoma title in my hand!! The car can stay here for up to 60 days as long as its paid for in advance. thanks for looking and bid with CONFIDENCE!!! Danny 405-620-2850 Or Joe 405-550-9505. On Apr-26-12 at 15:46:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received PHS documentation for the car. The car came with the "Firebird 350" package. Also came with a turbo-hydramatic transmission and was equipped with an auto console, and variable rate power steering. Came with the "decor group", rear speaker, air conditioning, and F70x14 tires. This car was not a low end car on options. Suggested retail price was $4033.46 which was a lot more than a base car. Would be a great car to make original, if that is your desire. Be on top to win, this is a no reserve auction! On Apr-29-12 at 06:31:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention bidders: I filled the brake cylinder with fluid and let it sit a couple days. Went out today and pushed and it went straight to the floor, so no brakes. If you have to have brakes for shipping then I would be able to make them work if we can work a deal on the cost of the procedure. Danny. On Apr-29-12 at 19:41:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello bidders: As of Today 4-29-12 bidding is at 1376. I know nothing usually happens to the last minute. In order to increase my potential buyers I have decided to list the car locally and other places. Its still going to sell on ebay because ebay has been good to me over the years. I will show the car to potential buyers that may come out in the next day or two but if they want it they are going to have to bid to get it. So if you see it advertised on Craigslist or Racingjunk or several other places its only for more folks to see the car and bring them to ebay and bid. One other thing, I do have two front fenders and a stock hood that came off 1969 camaro and I will include them for an extra 400.00. Thanks for your bids and bid now so you dont forget!!! Danny.
