Just recently acquired, this car has a well documented recent history of its most important mechanical work. Prior to our ownership, this car was professionally owned by the owner of a very reputable Porsche independent shop and long time PCA member who had purchased the car in July of 2008 with the intentions of doing a complete rebuild. Upon him purchasing the car, at that time had 103,000 miles on the chassis and motor. The engine and transmission was completely rebuilt (See pictures) New clutch was also installed. At that time, the face of all the Fuch wheels were re-polished and 4 new tires were mounted. Today, those tires have only 5,000 miles on them. Parts during the rebuild replaced consist of: - Crankshaft main bearings (Polished, and standard dimensions) - Connection rods - Intermediate Shaft Bearings - Case Saver Inserts installed for all cylinder Head Studs - New Oil Pump - Mahle Piston and Cylinder Set - New Piston rings - Wrist Pins - Timing Chains - Guide Rails - Intake & Exhaust valves and valve guides (Valve seats were reground) - Cylinder head mating surfaces flycut - All gaskets & seals replaced - Ignition coils - Spark Plug Wires - Fuel Injectors - Clutch replaced - Flywheel resurfaced. - Engine bonnet and front bonnet support struts were replaced - New freshly covered rear leather deck-lid - A/C Conversion kit with new compressor, dryer, switches and hoses - R134a - Front struts replaced in July 2010 with Koni Red's This is a very well driving car.
