You are bidding on my trusty 300SE, which I kept for years. Now kids are gone and my wife and me, we don't need 2 sedans, that's why I'm selling it. I always liked space and feel of 1992-1999 S-class and look of 2000 model, so I found in Europe bolt-on fiberglass kit and made this facelift. Only the hood, front fenders, both bumpers and headlights were replaced. The body was not modified in any way and original parts can be installed if necessary. This car has 3.2 inline six engine, so with this body it's the best of both worlds. One can barely hear this engine running. Transmission shifts perfect. Mechanically it's in excellent condition, was very well maintained all the time. A/C evaporator was replaced 3 years ago, so A/C is ice cold. Water pump, together with alternator and fan belt were replaced 6 months ago. The tires, Continental Eco-Plus, are almost new. It runs and drives excellent. These cars are considered by many as one of the last true Mercedes, which were built to last forever. The only problems with this car are cracked windshield and fading, because of the age, paint. This car has double window glass, so with windows closed you can barely hear outside noise. It still has original radio with Bose amplifier and 11 speakers. It also still has all factory original tools, DieHard battery, which is an expensive one. Bottom line, it's an extremely comfortable and reliable transportation for years to come and it's unique, I doubt you can find another one like this.
