Vehicle Detail
For sale a 1990 Nissan 300ZX 5 speed normally aspirated. I have owned the car since 2002. The exterior is charcoal gray and the interior is light gray. I have done most of the work on this car myself and have all the service and maintenance records going back to the original owner. It was in a front end accident in the mid 90s. The shop that did the body work did a very nice job on it. The nose was replaced with a 1995 300ZX nose as that was available at the time. You can notice the gold insignia on the nose rather than the metallic. Other issues are a scored bearing in the rear transaxle which emits a whine when you drive. No more damage will ensue by driving it as it stands but, the whining is audible. If I was keeping the car I would have this rebuilt or replaced with another. There are some rust spots coming through on the T-tops which is common in these cars, an example of which is in the pictures. The clearcoat on the hood and passenger door are wearing through causing a very dull finish in those areas. There are also a couple of other spots that I have shown in the pictures. There are no high beams currently working. There is a harness that runs behind the radiator that has worn through and the wires that control the relay for this are bad. since I don't use high beams I just never got around to fixing it. If the new owner wants to do so I can instruct how. The car drives and runs nicely as this is currently my primary driving car although, I work from home so it doesn't get many miles put on it. In the 10 years I have owned it I only put about 44,000 miles on it. It has been my second play car and always kept in the garage until recently. I added an amp and powered subwoofer both located behind and under the passenger seat. There is an Alpine head unit and a 6 disc CD changer behind the passenger seat as well. The exhaust is Stillen Cat back. A K & N air filter is behind the nose piece. I have numerous spare parts for the car as I had projects I was going to work on but, lost steam as it became clear I had to sell. Summary of current known issues: 1. scored bearing in rear end causing a whine when driving. Not a major problem but, the noise is clearly audible. 2. rust on the t-tops. 3. no high beams Otherwise the car runs nice and the tires and brakes have lots of life left. Please feel free to ask questions or request more information. I really don't want to sell this car but, circumstances dictate otherwise. We are moving out of state and trying to downsize radically. If you've ever done that you know what I mean. On Apr-18-12 at 17:59:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have posted videos of the car. Please find a video of the engine here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfKk0VsA4bw And a video of the exterior and interior here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k9kjMey_xU my phone and I were not communicating very well regarding orientation of the camera. Hopefully, it is good enough to get the idea across. Hope this this helps.
