Hello,Thanks for looking at my 1998 Jetta GLX. I've owned the car since 2000. We've been through a lot together but it's finally time to move on. The vehicle currently has 100,200 miles on it and may have a few more by the time it sells (I drive it to work occasionally). It has many aftermarket parts and upgrades: - JOM height adjustable coilovers- genuine 2 piece BBS wheels (OEM Wolfsburg Edition wheels from the mk4 Jetta)- Wilwood brakes up front- slotted rear rotors- Neuspeed P Flow intake- Neuspeed catback exhaust- Neuspeed P chip- OBX headers- Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulleys- Neuspeed short shifter The car also has a modified interior as you can see:- genuine red leather inserts in seats and doors- black headliner with OEM black visors and grab handles (from the B3 Passat - direct fit!)- Kenwood head unit with USB/ipod input- Pioneer 6.5" speakers- pedals and shifter If you look at the Carfax you'll see the car was involved in an accident in 2003 and was repaired. I've driven it ever since without issues. It has had its share of bumps and scratches. Thieves stole the stereo which led to a broken passenger window and for a long time the dash didn't have a stereo until I put the Kenwood in. There is a slight imperfection in the roof where I fell on the car while putting up drywall on the ceiling of my garage. I've taken photos of scratches and rust spots here and there. I took care of a few surface rust issues 2 years ago. The paint is in decent shape for being 14 years old, but it's a 10 footer. You'll note the picture of the dash has the ebrake light and the airbag light on. Unlike a lot of VR6 cars, the check engine light is *not* on. The other idiot lights have been like that for at least 5 years. I've adjusted the ebrake several times but to no avail. The airbag light has been on since I encountered an overturned manhole cover which hit the car undercarriage and triggered the drivers side impact airbag. Surprised the crap out of me. It ripped my seat, so I bought another airbag module and when I installed it, I put in the red leather. This was ~2003-4ish. So the light has been on that long without problems. Also, the driver's rear window regulator failed and that window does not function. The car isn't perfect, but it's been my car for over 12 years and I'll miss it. The sound of the VR6 is addicting. Driving it in the summer is great, because you can roll the windows down and enjoy the soundtrack. Recent parts/maintenance within last 2000 miles:- oil change- tires- brake pads and rotors all around- suspension- all 4 wheels aligned- rear wheel bearings I drive this car to work and it gives great fuel economy for the power and speed it can deliver. See one of the pictures - 30 mpg! It will do that on 45 mph roads, but averages closer to 27 on the freeway at higher speeds. It is a great highway cruiser as it pulls in all gears and doesn't have any problem passing or merging.
