Vehicle Detail
I am a graduating college student taking a leap and trying to fund my dream to train for two months of kickboxing in Thailand. It is for that reason that I am reluctantly selling this beautiful 1967 firebird (cloned to look like a 68) that I have had the pleasure of owning for 8 years. I will try to the best of my efforts to explain every detail of the car. I will reference the good aspects and the areas that need restoration along with accompanying photos. I cannot however state every little detail about what is under the hood or the upgrades the previous owner has done to the car because I must admit that I am not a mechanic or restoration specialist and my knowledge of car parts and upgrades is very limited. When I bought this 1967 Pontiac firebird it came with a newly dropped in 400 cu in Pontiac V8, manual 4 speed Muncie transmission and the clutch all new before I even bought the car. According to the vin number, this is a "sprint six" model, however as stated previously it now has the 400 v8 in it. The odometer was never reset when this was done so because of that the odometer does not accurately show the mles it has on it. Honestly, I didn't drive the car very much when I was younger just to and from school which is roughly 9 blocks everyday. After high school, the car went under a cover for about 4 years and was started periodically. Until this last year when I could afford to fuel it as a special occasion driver.I have had very few under the hood issues with this car and have kept up on all maintenance. As far as under the hood upgrades, The car has an Edelbrock carb, manifold, and air filter, Hearst shifter, 8 ball shifting nob and a custom pant job. The car does need minor restoration done to the interior and exterior as I have tried to document with photos. The windshield front reveal molding needs to be replaced which is roughly 150 dollars. The body and chassis are solid and have no rust but there is minor rust along the windshield which is pretty common for a 45 year old car. There are minor chips and imperfections in the paint but very minute. The floor pans and trunk are solid but I have never ripped up the carpet to really look at them, the trunk has also been carpeted. The rpm tach is detatched from the steering column when I had the steering column and steering wheel replaced. The steering column works flawlessly and the tach still works. The interior door light needs to be replaced and the headliner is missing a small section in the back. All of the gauges and speedometer still works accurately. The car does not have a radio, power steering or air conditioning. Also the brakes work well even though they are still drums This is definitely a car that needs a bit of cosmetic and restoration work but everything else is solid and the car runs great. This car is truly amazing to drive and turns heads with the roar of the engine and keeps them turned with the jaw dropping paint job. I always get compliments, questions, and offers when I drive this car. I will truly miss this car when it is sold but I look at it as trading one dream for another.-400 cu in Pontiac v8-Edelbrock Carb-Edelbrock Manifold-Edelbrock Air Filter-Muncie 4 speed manual trasmission10,000 Or Best Offer, MUST SELL!!!-cashiers check, cash or paypal (TO US RESIDENTS ONLY)for more information or more picturesText (prefered) e-mail or call Jack (650) 787-3516
