Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Ford F-250 with a 300ci 6 cyl engine and a four speed manual transmission. The old truck has always been reliable for me. On the coldest days it has never failed to start right up and go. It has been painted in the past and now the clearcoat is coming off. The truck is not beat up at all and there is very little rust on it. The back of the driver's side front fender has the worst rust spot. The suspension is very heavy and should be able to haul or pull most any load. The wheels are 19.5 inches tall with 8.00 x 19.5 tires. Included with the truck is a new set of tire chains. Many people have guessed that with its suspension, its wheel size, as well as the fact that on the tailgate you can see industrial yellow paint in a place or two, that the truck was formerly used by the railroad. I can't be sure of this at all. The truck was just inspected in Virginia and passed, though I must say that the tail lights could stand to have their sockets replaced. Also, the driver's side emergency brake cable needs to be replaced. The old truck is pretty good for its age but is in no way perfect. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere, but that being said, it could break down tomarrow so there are no guarantees. Feel Free to come and look it over, and to drive it around. Call me at (276) 646-2144 with any questions. Local pick-up is offered or I will drive it a reasonable distance to you for a fee.
